Yes, some pain meds make u confused along with the pain itself and its according to the pain med that was taken. Yes, it will make you hyper in some cases.

I think what you may be refering to is delirium. SOmetimes, people naive to pain medicines (especially narcotics like percocet, morphine, dilaudid) will feel "loopy" with the meds, and cause they to be hyperactive. Of course, there are others who are completely knocked out by the meds. We see this in elderly people in the hospital -- too much narcotics makes them very delirious and very agitated.

They don't have that effect on me, but they sure make a motor mouth of my husband! It may also indicate a slight allergy, especially if they make you hyper. Be careful. Should you be allergic that could worsen. Allergies can develope with exposure!
I could tolerate Decadron (for breathing), but if taken now I stay awake for days and cannot sleep. Just be aware of how any medication makes you feel.

Yes, pain meds will make you talk alot sometimes. They do it to me if I take more than Im supposed to.

In some people it will lortab makes me that way!! I have spinal cord injury the Dr. gave me lortab so I could sleep the pain would keep me up. so when I took it I would stay up talking with my husband, like I couldn't turn my brain off. works different on people because of their own body chemistry

yeah they can make you pretty loopy! they are a drug! and some drugs have that side affect of just making you loopy!
