If you believe in God, then you have faith in God. If you believe in God, then obedience is necessary. Baptism is submission to the authority of Christ, and obedience. If you cannot submit to God's authority, then you certainly cannot call yourself one of His.

Well, if the bible is true and if Satan is a liar and wants all to be with him in hell, what better way to accomplish this than to create the lie that baptism is not essential for Salvation?

In the great commisioon in Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus said go and teach and that's right he said BAPTIZE and to OBEY ALL HIS COMMANDS.

The verses below do not suggest baptism, but commands baptism.

There are many other scriptures which proves baptism is essential, but that is if you believe and follow the bible.
Mark says he that believith and is baptized will be saved, but he that believith not shall be damned. Mark already clarified that if we believe we WILL be baptized. It goes without saying that those who do not believe willnot be baptized.

I never understood why people claim to be christian and not only refues to do God's will by being baptized, but will fight you over it. when I was a Christian I had to debate and stand up for scriptures everyday. I was constantly attacked by others who claimed baptism was not essential. Now that I am a pagan these people who should be trying to convert me because I do not accept Christ anymore leave me alone, I like it that way.

I'm not sure what you mean by Christians having a problem with baptism, unless you are talking about baby baptism. As a Baptist, I can tell you that it is something we do not practice or recognize as we believe that one should be baptised after having accepted Christ as Savior which one cannot do as an infant.

Baptism is not required in order to have Salvation or enter in to Heaven. The only requirement for that is that one accept Christ as Savior. We should be baptised, though, because we are told to do so.

True Christians do not have problem with baptism. It is a requirement to becoming a Christian. See Matthew 28: 19.

I think some Christan's, don't read the book for them self, and make a problem.
Christ gave instructions, he was our example, we are to follow him, his sheep know his voice, and another, they will not follow.
for if the blind lead the blind, they both fall into the ditch.

I have been baptized 2 times, Just to make sure, the second time was with my Husband, as a bond in marriage, to serve God together, in the Word of God.

One doesn't have to be baptized to enter heaven. Consider the Thief on the Cross. Baptism is showing publicly that we believe in Jesus by following the example he set in the River Jordan by John the Baptist, who by the way, was a third cousin of Jesus.

After Pentecost when the Holy Spirit descended on the Apostles and our Blessed Mother the Apostle went out on the veranda and started preaching which everyone heard in their own tongue. When it struck them to the heart they asked "What must we do?" The Apostles said "Repent, and be BAPTIZED!" cut and dried---there ya go!

If Jesus, who was sinless needed to be baptized... then we certainly do. It was not a sprinkling either. He was immersed in the River Jordan. He commanded that we should be baptised. So I see no problem.. Its in the Book!

You do not have to be Water Baptised (dunked) to make it to Heaven.
But if you get Born-Again, it is just a Good thing to do. And you really should want to do it.
I got dunked in a River. Cool! It was in the Springtime. Cool! When I came up, first thing I saw was a Hawk flying around over us.
Cool (the water was cool). hahaha.

No, salvation precides baptism.

God's Gospel:

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10

After you do the preceding you are ready for baptism.

Our path to salvation is only through Jesus Christ alone!

All christians get baptize by the Holy spirit! getting baptized at a church is only to symbolize this! You don't have to do it to get into heaven!
