Is it alright for her grandpa to give her away? He's sick right now, and I fear he won't be around when we get married, So her brother will be the next one that would give her away...

My Wish By Rascal Flatts. go to myspace.com, click on music, put in Rascal Flatts, hit the link and listen. It's an awesome song. Would be great for a brother/sister. Here are the lyrics:

I hope that the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
And each road leads you where you want to go,
And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
And if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin' till you find the window,
If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile,

But more than anything, more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

I hope you never look back, but ya never forget,
All the ones who love you, in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
And you help somebody every chance you get,
Oh, you find God's grace, in every mistake,
And you always give more than you take.

But more than anything, yeah, and more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

This is my wish
I hope you know somebody loves you
May all your dreams stay big

These aren't country but here's some

Wind Beneath My Wings" by Bette Midler
"Unforgettable" - Nat "King & Natalie Cole
"What A Wonderful World" - Louis Armstrong
"Times Of Your Life" - Paul Anka
Whenever I call you Friend by Kenny Loggins
and
He Ain't Heavy, He's My brother" by the Hollies

Now if you really want a country song, try either talking to them maybe they have a special song that means a lot to them or go for something like Through the years by Kenny Rogers or even Holy Water by Big and Rich.

For a "weeding", I would suggest "Oats, peas, beans and barley grow....."! Just kidding .... watch your spelling. "Forever and ever, Amen" is a good song.
It's fine for your fiancee to dance with her brother - my father had passed away, and I danced with my brother. Also, since he obviously wasn't there to give me away, and my mother wouldn't - my husband and I walked down the aisle together!

If her brother is older than her and helped take care of her Butterfly Kisses might work because I don't remember it specifically mentioning father/daughter references.
