I do.

HEAR the Gospel
BELIEVE it
REPENT of your sins
CONFESS Jesus before men as your Lord and Savior
Be BAPTISED for the reission of you sins
and be faithful until death

That's the simple gospel that Jesus, Peter, and all of the Apostle taught. That's the one (and the only one) that can save.

Also, I do know for fact, that no one can independently read the Gospels, Acts, and the Epistles, and legitimately come up with an example of anyone being saved by "saying a sinners prayer", or any direction for christians to be saved like this. Futhermore Jesus never told anyone to "say a sinners prayer".

What you WILL find, is people being admonished to, "repent, confess, and be baptized, once they hear and believe the gospel. After hearing and believing the death, burial, and ressurection of Jesus (the gospel). One must submit to obedience to the gospel. If one is taught ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES, one will ask, just like those first century christians did in when they heard Peter preach the same gospel in Acts 2:37;
"Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, MEN, AND BRETHREN, WHAT SHALL WE DO?"

Peter did not tell them to, "Say a sinners prayer". [Why not Peter?] Because, THAT'S NOT THE WAY.

Peter told them in the next verse, Acts 2:38 "REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ [Why Peter?] for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost [which is salvation]."

They heard, they believed, no doubt they confessed jesus was the Son of God, they were told to repnt and be baptized.
Someone may like the simplicity of "the sinners prayer". But, you can be sure, Peter's way (of course God's way), will get you into Christ.

As for me, I'm not taking any chances with my soul, or anyone elses.

Galatians 1:8-9
But even if we, or an angel from Heaven, preach any other Gospel to you than the one we have preached to you, let him be acursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be acursed.

In the strongest terms used anywhere in His word, God tell us His assessment and penalty for those who would take it upon themselves to pervert His holy Word. "..may they be acursed.”

"The sinner's prayer".....from God or from men. Someone may say, "YOU CAN'T JUDGE ANYONE!" When it comes to matters of faith, for the christian, YOU HAD BETTER JUDGE.

A person is saved AFTER he/she obeys the gospel. To teach otherwise is to go against the scriptures. We are to be careful not to teach another gospel. there is a penalty for doing such.

The Apostle Paul warned in the strongest possible terms about the attitude of God toward those who would pervert the gospel of Jesus Christ. We can understand this, as it cost God his only son, and Jesus a horrible death by crucifixion.

He stated:
"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." Galatians 1:8, 9.

Peace, and God bless you

I'm not sure of your meaning. Peter would not have taught a way of salvation any different that Jesus....or any of the other writers of the new testament books.

Repent and believe the Good News of Jesus Christ!

That's the message of Christ, and of Peter and of Apostle Paul....
ALLL had the same message...

There are ignorant unbelievers who post here who haven't read the Bible and still wrestle with Scripture to their own destruction.

I believe I know the Way and the Door to a heavenly home. I find it in the Bible and not in some idea that I should accept Jesus as my personal savior.

As invented by Peter, and promulgated by Paul, who never met Jesus? Sure, I've heard of it but it sounds very illogical, wouldn't you say?
