Aww sweetie I've been in the same situation and it is hard. Chances are he really is busy with all the preparations necessary for going to Iraq. It'll be OK. Email me if you need to.

Is he in Basic or AIT

If so they keep him busy from 5 am to 6pm supper is over at 7 pm and light outs is 9pm.

They can also keep him busy in the barracks nights too. You have to pull fire watch two or three nights a week for an hour or more at the early AM. YOu ahve to pull outside patrols. YOu have to do KP once every few weeks starting a 3 am and going to 9 pm.

Most people write letters once every week or to.

Weekends are pretty much free, but can be restricted.

You try and do things that make you feel more normal like go to the base PX or a pizza place and eat to make up for what you didn't get at Mess.

Some do laundry.

Now if he's special forces or airborne the training is even more intense.

He should have time to at least e-mail you.

I've seen people from Fort Hood spending time online in other forums. Best of luck to you.

what is he doing ? basic training, combant training, or just working a job.

If he is in basic training, he will have every minute of every day scheduled. If he is updating his combat training, he may be in the field for weeks at a time
