No! You seem to be forgetting that these are human beings as well. If the roles were reversed, and we were entering another country, would we want them to shoot us? It's simply a matter of treating others as we'd expect to be treated.

When I first read this question I thought, How can anyone ask such a question? But after reading some of the answers, I shuttered!
First - Murdering anyone in this country is a crime. Whether the person shot at lives or dies, it is wrong!
Secondly, this country was founded by people (from other countries) who were seeking freedom. People who enter this great country are seeking the same thing and a better life. We all deserve a Better Life!
Many of those who have answered seem to be focusing on the South Americans or Mexicans in general. What of the Canadians, the Cubans and any other who find their way in here illegally? It is not just the Spanish speaking people!
I agree with giving all a chance to become legal citizens of the USA. But as my 13 year old daughter points out, have any of you (us) seen what is involved with becoming a citizen? It is not a easy as one might expect. Google it and see if you can re-become a citizen of the USA based on what you know now!
I bet that many of us would fail.
Peace and regards.

If ever see pictures of illegal aliens crossing borders they are not only men but women and children all just looking for a better way of life. They are humans just like you who love each other and have no way to feed their families. We are more and more inhumane in our soceity. Shut the borders down the best we can and then issue legal permits for them to work in jobs that many Americans will not do.

I dont know that we need to go that far besides shooting them would not stop them from trying to come over. I understand they want to make a better life for themselves but illegal is illegal none the less and there should be some punishment. If I did something illegal I would be punished so why shouldnt they.

If we planted landmines then they would have a hard time figuring out the pattern of safe passage once they saw some of their countrymen wounded or blown to bits. We need more anti-personnel mines but some that are big enough to take out vehicles as well.

If that were the case unless you are American Indian (Native American) then we all would be shot. The Indians did it NO ONE came into their territory without an invite. Once they let the foreigners(At Plymouth Rock) there went the neighborhood

No. In fact, I think we should be letting in millions of Mexicans, not as illegals, but as legals. If they were legals, it would make this nation stronger.

I would be happy if we shot all the politicians in this country and started fresh.
