well i have my yorkie for 2 1/2 years and she is great and she is good w/ all people kids babys older people what ever in the morning when i get up she does tend to bark alot but i deal w/ it cause she is a great dog and i fun to play w/ . same w/ my aunts yorkie she is also fun to play w/ and it depends on what age they are when you get them, like how to train them i was able to train my dog not to chew and how to walk the right way on a leash and tricks, she was already potty trained when i got her
im a student and there is no one home during the day and as long as she has toys (or a busy dog ball a plastic ball w/ holes that you put treats in and they try to get them out) she is fine and loves to see me when i get home.
well i hope i helped !

Terriers are naturally active dogs. Yorkshire Terriers are affectionate and needy. Unless they have other dogs to bond with, they will get lonely during the day with no one home. My advice is if you're out of the house for more than 9 hours a day, do not get a dog.

Overall, Yorkshire terriers - yorkies - are intelligent, independent and spunky in overall. But, they are known for their disregard for the limitations of their own size. They will often attack much larger dogs despite their extreme size disadvantage. That, my friend, you should keep them away from larger dogs and prevent having more of large dogs in the house.

My friend got rid of a Yorkie he had for a year.....the dog was a yelper, stubborn and yes very self driven. I think they are cute but I got a cockapoo instead..just as cute but less problems
