All I ever drink is diet coke, and I noticed that it's laxative effect is quite strong. Is it possible for the body to become dependent on it for this effect? Please back up your answers if possible.

Anyone can become addicted to anything if they use it enough.
Any product that contains aspartame can cause a laxative effect if used too much.

LOL at the same time as coca cola became first made, it contained authentic cocaine... communicate about wanting it then! It supplies a good bite, would not it? because you dont' crave only any soda or espresso... it would no longer be the caffeine, nor even the sugar (weight-help plan coke has little) in spite of the indisputable fact that it could be the chemical substances in it... It also will be some thing that comforts you... possibly you've good thoughts linked with ingesting coke, some thing you've not even recalled. I don' t recognize that i'd call that an habit although.

You can become addicted to the caffine, which may be the "laxitive effect" you are refering to. You might consider drinking some water. more than 4 cokes a day is asking for problems.

I don't know where you're getting your Diet Coke from, but I've never had this problem and I drink it all day long.
