Although it,s the government,s job to secure our borders it is also the job of Hollywood to advertise America as the place of milk and honey and people are still buying that idea, what makes a country great is to sell what you have and back that up with the delivery of such, all of our movies glorify the USA as a haven for the downtrodden and tired and heavy laden that we forgot to teach others how to fish , but instead give them fish,we cannot but be a victim of our own successes and and have to put the brakes on the flow of illegals that are in this country and still keep coming. Get angry and kick and scream all we want but It would not surprise me if we had to outsource the last of our low paying jobs that the farmers have to supply the food and services that we so crave as Americans, because it has become so expensive to be a productive nation since we as a people are constantly being manipulated,WHO FOOTS THE BILL THEN,freedom.

I had been out of work for 6 years due to a medical condition. I couldn't get a job because I wasn't bi-lingual! It was at a fast food restaurant!! I just wanted a job! I went back the next week and the new person couldn't speak English. I will complain until illegals are legal and can speak the language!!!! I am educated but I need to finish college before I can get anything else besides these "jobs".

Low paying jobs in most countries are for the young and uneducated to fill. This helps them to develop a good work ethic and respect the chance at an education, i.e., 'if I'm educated, I don't have to do this heavy labor...' That, to my thinking is a good way to help educate our youth. IF there are no jobs for them to fill because of illegals, they don't get the message, though, do they?
In any case, it is important to understand that "illegal" is outside the law and, as such, should not be tolerated by the rest of us who choose to obey the laws.
Mexico would not tolerate U.S. citizens showing up in Mexico to file for unemployment, education for our children, public assistance, and demanding that everything be translated into English so that we could understand it. I don't believe that Mexico would tolerate a teacher in a Mexican classroom to have the children there say a Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, but that's just what happened here in Texas a week or so ago. It cannot be tolerated. Divided loyalties are the beginning of 'The End' for any country.
I don't know about the rest of you reading this, but I feel very blessed to live in this nation - with all its faults. I don't want to see the end of it anytime soon.

Well here is something for you to think about MR i know everything!
What do illigal people do when they come here? They get jobs right? ok lets go further into this! What do people who come here illigal do when they have kids? There kids are citizens because mom and dad jumped the border. What do these kids do? They grow up on my tax dollars for there education. Furthermore what happens when they are ready for further education?
Guess whos pocket college comes out of?
YeP thats right my tax dollars.
So know that we got down to basics lets further go into the troubleing factor here
What do these people do when educated off my tax dollars?
Well of course they get jobs and when there done with school (college mind you) they are left with little to no debt
is it fair that i pay 20,000 for an associates degree and another 32 for bachlors degree when i have to pay for others education?
So what do they do when they get done with college
often they get a great job doing work as a lawyer, doctor, paralegal, and so on and so on
So when people say they take the crappy jobs in the long run they dont just take the crappy jobs they have kids and those kids would of never been citizens if mom and pops didnt jump the border in the first place by the end of it all there kids are educated off my tax dollars and in turn they take jobs that are high paying that they shouldnt even of ever had
they drain
on
our
economy

Maybe some of our own kids could start getting some job experience again. Look what is happening to the teenagers and young adults that are legal citizens in this country. It is very hard on them to get a start these days. If legal citizens were in these jobs, the labor rates would have to at least the legal minimum and I know lots of young people looking for a place to start.

You are unbelievably dumb. A chicken processing plant in Georgia was left without almost all of it's workers recently when state officials rounded up hundreds of illegals and deported them. The plant had to IMMEDIATELY raise wages by over 1 dollar an hour to attract legal workers. You call yourself a humanist, but you are buying the latest scheme of the worst element of corporate America to import slaves so they don't have to move their companies to Mexico anymore. They are destroying the American dream, not living it. And they are stealing the American dream from all the more highly educated and skilled foriegners who could come here if there were not 12 million illegals here. Wake up, they paint this as a sappy story of human compassion. You want to be a humanist? Fight for higher paying jobs, not the right for corporate America to import slaves. It is corporate greed at it's worst and you are naive enough to swallow it hook, line, and sinker. 20 bucks says you are also under the age of 30 y.o. Bad question.

Illegal aliens have lowered the wage rate across the board.
As far as contruction industry, hotel and restaurant jobs, those jobs were always done by US citizens of ALL nationalities before illegal aliens started flooding in here like a swarm of begging, stealing, poverty stricken locusts.
Here in California, all the crops were picked by people of all ethnicities and all nationalities in the 1940s, and few mexicans were in the fields at all, I have the photos to prove it.

Real people would do those jobs. Real American citizens who need the jobs.
They wouldn't be low paying, they'd be at least minimum wage if the illegals weren't here.

That's your answer to a problem that costs the average tax payer big bucks? I guess that is why they aren't paying you the big bucks. I for one, want to see everyone paying their fair share for services rendered, and for dollars earned. Maybe then, we could all see a little tax relief.
Those low paying jobs will always be there, and so far we have been able to see them filled. I for one, can cut my own grass, blacktop my own drive way, clean my own house, plant my own landscape, and yes, even dig my own ditch if need be.
