When that happens I wanted to know what occurs first.
Will it be the elimination of womens rights?
Will it be the jailing or extermination of the homosexuals??
Will it be the myriad of laws required to limit free speech as needed to fit with fundamentalist principles?

In other words what parts of our freedom will be sacrificed first under a Christian Theocracy,I'm aware that the rights taken away will be numerous but I just want to know what parts of our Constitution will be sacrificed first.

Christian 'Dominionists' (Reconstructionalists, Theonomists) have largely usurped the local level political apparatus of the Republican Party, and are engaged in a sub rosa process to politically motivate moderate Christians under the false cover of religious issues such as morality and family values, under cover of front organizations like the Christian Coalition, the American Family Association and the Promise Keepers. The goal is nothing less than the takeover of all elective offices in the USA.

Their doctrine comes from the Bible, starting with the term 'dominion' at Genesis 1:28... “And God said unto them, [Adam and Eve] Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have DOMINION… over every living thing.” They interpret DOMINION as: “... a supremacy in determining and directing the actions of others or in governing politically, socially, or personally.”

They want to remake the USA as a theocracy... and they are succeeding.

Its most common form, Dominionism, represents one of the most extreme forms of Fundamentalist Christianity thought. Its followers, called Dominionists, are attempting to convert the laws of United States so that they match those of the Hebrew Scriptures. They intend to achieve this by using the freedom of religion in the US to train a generation of children via home-schooling and in private Christian religious schools. See: JESUS CAMP http://www.apple.com/trailers/magnolia/jesuscamp/trailer/ Later, their graduates will be charged with the responsibility of creating a new Bible-based political, religious and social order. One of the first tasks of this order will be to eliminate religious choice and freedom. Their eventual goal is to achieve the "Kingdom of God" in which much of the world is converted to Christianity. They feel that the power of God's word will bring about this conversion. No armed force or insurrection will be needed; in fact, they believe that there will be little opposition to their plan. People will willingly accept it. All that needs to be done is to properly explain it to them.

All religious organizations, congregations etc. other than strictly Fundamentalist Christianity would be suppressed. Nonconforming Evangelical, main line and liberal Christian religious institutions would no longer be allowed to hold services, organize, proselytize, etc. Society would revert to the laws and punishments of the Hebrew Scriptures. Any person who advocated or practiced other religious beliefs outside of their home would be tried for idolatry and executed. Blasphemy, adultery and homosexual behavior would be criminalized; those found guilty would also be executed. There are two conservative Christian pastors in Texas who have advocated the execution of all Wiccans. Ralph Reed, the executive director of the conservative public policy group the Christian Coalition has criticized Reconstructionism as "an authoritarian ideology that threatens the most basic civil liberties of a free and democratic society."

By failing to openly confront this insidious agenda, we have sown the seeds of our own destruction, while these religious wing-nuts are paving the way to Armageddon with gleeful anticipation.

It's already started. Quietly they are eliminating rights.

For example, take the Public Expression of Religion Act. It passed the House just a few days ago, and still has to make it through the Senate to become law, but this is what it will do if it makes it:

Currently, if the government violates any of your First Amendment rights, (for example, freedom of speech, freedom to own a gun, etc...) and you take them to court and win -- the government must pay your court fees as well as damages incurred to you.

Under the soon-to-be new law, this still holds for everything EXCEPT religious infractions. Meaning that if a locality decided that in order to vote, you had to swear that you accepted Jesus or Allah or whoever as your lord and saviour (a clear violation of freedom of religion), you would now have to come up with tens of thousands of dollars to take the case to court, because you would not be reimbursed even if you won.

Don't believe me? Take a look at the bill and floor speeches here: http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h109-2679

Obviously, this bill doesn't bother you if you're the majority religion -- but it scares the crap out of you if you're anything else.

It has already started, my friend.

We've already seen reproductive rights severely compromised. And the proposal of the Federal Marriage Amendment (changing the constitution!!!) which violates the rights of same-sex couples was appalling. We see laws for separation of church and state -- which guarantees that students and teachers can pray all they want in school, etc. -- being misrepresented by fundamentalists as attacking their religion. We've already seen the fundamentalism in terms of the FCC. It's SCARY.

Free speech will be the first to go....the other's will fall into line after that since no one will be allowed to openly oppose any of it. Homosexuals next because so many will get on that bandwagon. Then the removal of environmental constraints that we have worked so hard for....then the women. Evil women and their damn apples.

Be afraid ppl, be very afraid.

It's already started.

We give up our freedoms for the "safety" from terrorists.

9/11 was planned by the government to allow them to go to war and start eroding our liberties.

We may not even get to elect the president any more... just wait.

Truly frightening and a real possibility. Only one way to stop it. VOTE! Get out and vote, get your friends out to vote, get your family out to vote. Make it a duty, not a privilege. This has been a public service announcement.

Your right to free speech.. obviously
Keeping critical thinkers from expressing themselves and questioning their authority would be the first item on the agenda.

If I were you it would be Islamic theocracy I would be worried about right now, not Christian. After all it is the Jihadists who are trying to suicide bomb us and have publically declared their life mission to squash all who oppose Islamic theocratic law...

When have Christians _ever_ done this?

One wonders what kind of propaganda you've been smoking...

It's the Kingdom of God that will bring theocracy to the earth, not extremist.
And it's Jesus Christ that is the King of the Kingdom.
