No that is pretty healthy but you should always consult a dr before any kind of diet like that - the best way to lose weight is to eat a balanced diet and exercise. If you eat 4-5 small meals a day it will increase your metabolism, give you energy and help you lose weight. Try going for walks or any type of cardio 2-5 times a week for about a half hour - even dancing around the house or something would work.
The problem with any type of diet like this is that you are not going to do it forever and most of them - when you do stop and start eating calories, you gain back all of the weight that you lost.
Do it the healthy way - Special K for breakfast or something like egg whites, and lean proteins - fish, grilled chicken, lean meat, turkey, low fat foods, diet drinks, lots of water, veggies and fruit - It is not that hard - just make up your mind to do it - you would feel so much better doing it this way than that way - you just would not be getting everything your body needs - to lose weight you just need to burn more calories than you are eating and you can do that while actually eating food too.

If the only thing you eat for a month is vegetable soup, you will be missing some vital minerals and vitamins. Your body needs a balanced diet of all the basic food groups in order for all your organs to work correctly. Fad diets are great for taking off the weight, but they are not a healthy, lifelong choice. A good diet to try is the Weight Watcher's diet - it really does work.

That is NOT a healthy way to lose weight. You would not be getting any carbs or proteins from the soup. The best way to lose weight would be to eat a balanced diet, with little fat and plenty of exercise (strenuous exercise like jogging minimum 3 times a week for at LEAST 30 minutes each time)

It might be a good way to kickstart a diet if you did it for a week, but a month would be very hard to stick to and unless you varied the foods you put into it, you'd be likely to be deprived of something. It sounds like the Sacred Heart Diet which is named after a hospital where they use it to get weight off pre-op cardiac patients fast. But I think they use a few other foods as well - might be worth a search on Google.

hi believe it or not, i am on the same diet, but i do vegetable soup for a week, then i have small meals for the next week, it seems pointless at first, because you do get hungry, so have a roll with your soup, and a good breakfast and a sandwich at lunch time.i've been doing this for 3 months now and i have lost nearly 3 stone, but i would consult the doctor first like i did, good luck ps no meals after 7 pm until the morning

There is really a vegetable soup diet. I believe the key is making sure the soup is made from meat stock, like beef or chicken broth, so you have the added protein. And take vitamins or daily supplements.

There is a soup diet that I tried to loose weight with but the side effect was that it gave the the cr@ps so bad and my partner moved to the sofa for a while our sex life suffered for my weight loss I could not run my day to day routine to the time schedule I have. It was shocking but I stuck to it it sells on Ebay for about £1.50. I lost the weight but it did not stay off so i was not really worth it so I joined weight watchers it was a better option im doing well I should have done that in the first place.
Basic 'Fat Burning' Soup Recipe
Ingredients:-
3 large onions 1 head of celery 2 tins chopped tomatoes
1 large green pepper half head of cabbage 1 packet onion soup mix
3 vegetable stock cubes
Method
Cut all vegetables into small pieces, put into saucepan and add all other ingredients. Cover with water, season to taste and simmer until all vegetables are soft. Liquidize if preferred.
You can eat as much of this soup as you want, whenever you want it. This soup will not add calories. The more you eat the more weight you lose. DO NOT eat the soup alone as this would result in malnutrition.
Day 1
Your first day will consist of all the fruit and soup you can eat. For drinks have unsweetened tea, black coffee, cranberry juice and water.
Day 2
Eat all you can of fresh and cooked vegetables. DO NOT eat peas, dry beans or sweet corn. At dinner reward yourself with a large baked potato with butter. Eat all the soup you want, but NO fruit.
Day 3
Mix days 1 and 2. Eat as much fruit, fresh vegetables and soup as you want. You can’t have a baked potato today.
Day 4
Bananas and skimmed milk. Eat as many as 8 bananas and as much soup as you want.
Day 5
Beef and tomato day. You may have 10-20 oz beef and a large can of tomatoes or 6 fresh tomatoes. Try to drink at least 6-8 glasses of water to wash out the uric acid from your body. Be sure to eat soup at least once.
day 6
Eat as much beef and fresh vegetables as you want. You can have 2/3 steaks with salad or fresh vegetables, but no baked potato. Be sure to eat soup at least once.
Day 7
Brown rice and vegetables and unsweetened fruit juice. Eat as much as you want. Be sure to eat soup at least once.
At the end of the 7th day, if you have not cheated, you should have lost between 10 and 17 lbs. If you have lost more than 17 lbs, stay off the diet for two days before resuming.
The diet does not lend itself to drinking alcohol at any time because of the removal of fay build-up from your system. Go off the diet for at least 24 hours before any alcohol intake. If you feel the need, eat some bran or fibre.
You must not have bread, alcohol or carbonated drinks.
You can eat grilled or roasted chicken instead of beef.
You can eat fish on one of the beef days.
You can take prescribed medication while on this diet.

Eeks, the fact that you like 'routine eating' is scary in itself, but that you're actually considering eating only vegetable soup is worse! Your body requires a variety of vitamins and minerals found in a variety of foods. Too much of any one food is not good for anyone. I could go on a Twinkie diet and eat a Twinkie for breakfast, one for lunch, and another for dinner and lose a bunch of weight, but I wouldn't be doing my body any favors in the long run. Be good to yourself... eat a variety of healthy foods, you'll feel good!

Well, it really depends on what else you eat. If you eat nothing but vegetable soup everyday then you might get malnutrition and get seriously ill, but yet if you eat soup and chocolate and all that junk you could end up gaining weight

You will get tired of eating vegetable soup and you will pass gas more often. You might, also, start eating more meat after the month is over.
