Generally "humping" toys and people in dogs is a dominance act more than a sexual one. I just had a baby and his paternal grandparents have a dog and she is 5 and has been spayed since she was a puppy. When she first met the baby and the grandparents were ooooing and ahhhing over their new grandson she started running around humping the air and then tried to hump each of them as they held him. Nothing short of hilarious, but she was trying to say "look I am still number 1 here!" Don't worry it is normal for dogs to do that. I know a few dogs that "hump" toys. I think since they are lower than their owner on the "totem pole" they need something to show dominance over! She is probably just making sure the toy stays in line! Hope this helps!

I think the word is "humping" but regardless, Since you had her spayed after she likely had several times in heat, she still has the behaviors there. Sometimes with females after they're spayed they go through a false heat followed by a false pregnancy. No reason to be concerned it'll pass, I've raised dogs for 27 years.

I had a dog once that was spayed and she did the same thing, only she would hunch anything. I think its alright. I wouldn't worry about it.

It is normal. If you were to have a hysterectomy would you still want sex? I think so. It is a normal activity in life. My dog still does the same thing too. Don't worry about it. Just let her know that it is an unacceptable behavior in front of guest. Just like peeing on the carpet.

This is perfectly normal, most dogs do it acually, after they are spayed or neutered. My dogs vet even warned me about when i got my dog spayed, tis natural for them to do this.

My male Chihuahua was fixed awhile ago, he does umm… does what most male dogs do to stuff still. I have no idea why this is. You should ask a vet about it if it really concerns you.

She's learned to hump given certain stimuli, and she will continue to do so now. You should have had her spayed around 6 months, before she learned to do anything sexual.
