I first want to start off by saying that I am very proud of you for looking out for your well-being and want to applaud you for that, way to go1!! I am not a doctor but I am giving you my life-lived advice. First, find something some kind of activity that you like to do AND DO IT and do it very often daily if possible. Do some type of excercising, danicng is a great form of it just put on the music and dance to your favorite music away, and before you know it you have eXcercised! Have fun, go wild, move your head, arms, legs, bottom, shake-shake-shake to lose the weight! And food, is Very Important, i have found Active.com very helpful for me with a starting point becuae I believe the very best diet is a BALNCED DIET that gives you alterntative changes and ways of healthier eating habits and choices. Try not to sit around a lot get up and move if for no reason at all, that will help get your metabolism up if you just find appropriate times to just move-move-move your body. Your parents can help you better understand the words that I am using or whatever you may not understand of what I am saying. What -I- did was i found out: for my gender(boy/girl), age and height how many calories would it take to maintain my weight. Take that number and lower your intake, that will automatically help you to begin losing weight AND ADDING eXcercise will JUMPSTART your progress, (now provided that you have no other medical issues this should help) I believe this is the best way. I have a lot more information that i would be happy to share with you AND your PARENT(S) if you want to email me directly (i.e.EZ recipeies, meal plan advice etc...) I would give you answers if i have them and advice for what has helped me. I have learned many many things about the body and food and excercise and I have just tailored all that information and took it to fit for ME, I'd be willing to give you a little help. I have found the food 'SmartOnes' to be a pretty good and relativeley inexpensive as an alternative change to having to cook everything all the time; and their desserts especially the chocolate browine one is quite frankly, dare i say DELICIOUS. Surprisingly much better that i anticipated. You should eat about 4-6 times a day> i didi not say meals. Snack throughout the day: cereal, fruit, sandwich, snack, learn to portion and read the labels, it could be quite an adventure and learning expereince. My daughter is sitting right here with me and wants me to tell you about Powere90 it's an excercise routine. My family sometimes does it together and my children and my little niece all love it a lot. Power90 is apart of i believe beachbody.com. Another great site I REALLY LOVE IS caloriesperhour.com you can find out what you are burning by doing various activities from brushing your teeth to running or cleaning your room to sleeping you might find this one pretty cool to see what you can do. I have made a little daily excercise regiment for myself with one day off. It is important to take one day off from excercising to allow your body to heal and let yourself have a break from ALL your Hard Work) AND an added benefit that we do is eat in moderation your favorite thing or something you have been craving for that one day. No excercise and favorite treat how about that huh! I made my regiment of dancing maybe 20 minutes a day with runnning in place and jumping jacks about 7 minutes total (5min running in place 2 min jumping jacks) each hour I chose to do these two, like I would do this 4-7 times a day depending on my schedlule and children's needs. You can create your own activites to what you like or would be willing to do for however amount of time that you would like to do it. Ok, there is no exactly a "fast" way to lose weight. But if you're saying about 1-2 months, do these:
-stay away from any drinks, except milk, water, and sport drinks (gatorade, propel, etc), NO CONCETRATED JUICES like Kerns or Sun Tropics. Those contain lots of sugar!!!
-every meal of yours, balance it about 1000-1500 calories
-stay away from ice cream, cake, pies, oily bread, stuff like that
stop eatting too much fat food, ESPECIALLY FASTFOOD
and don't buy hot lunch! if you have to, choose the healthiest foods
eat heatlhly food, like salad for example with Italian Dressing, dont use Ranch Dressing, why? ranch have bad Saturated fat, and it wont do good for your health. Well, actually scratch that. DON'T ADD DRESSING. salads are super healthy but when you add all the dressing, its gone!! nada! not really super healthy anymore, eh?
-eat less meat, and more fruits and vegatables. Fruits at least 3 times a day, vegatables 2 times a day for snacks.
-run like the wind, run ALOT!!, ok thats the only way to get rid of those thigh fat
Oh yea, for the running part, do at least a mile, NO WALKING that will just burn less fat, jog or sprint. Sprinting is giving it all you got at a short distance.
for the stomach, do sit-ups like 30-40 per day or every 4 hrs or so. if you can't PUSH YOURSELF. its all in the detrimination!!
Girl, in a week of working hard to lose weight, you will lose confidence. write on your palm, LOSE WEIGHT. you have to keep the fire burning and working!! and make a chart of your weight each week.

First of all, chill. To get diabetes, you need to be morbidly obese. Which you are no where near. To loose weight the formula is this and simply this
Calories in = more calories out. Simply that. You need to eat less cals than you burn. Go on a walk with your dog. Put in your ipod and run. Swimming is an amazing life long sport if you have acess to it. If you cant get out of your house, run up and down the stairs for 15 minutes. Do jumpingjacks. Plain crunches and pushups work well. Sit down in a chair, then stand back up without using anything to help you, do this several times. You could also get a yoga/tai chi video and do it everyday after school.

You are young. You should consult a doctor... but the easiest way is to eat healthier. Lots of fruits and veggies and not so much meat and bread like products. Just cut out the snacks. Drink at least 2 glasses of milk for calcium because you are still growing and lots and lots of water. Cut out sugary snacks and potato chip like things.
And try to excersize about 30 minutes to an hour everyday. This could be going for a walk, riding a bike, playing a sport. Just dont over do it.
And definatly talk to a parent, gaurdian and doctor and do it the healthy way.
Dont let people pressure you into stupid fad diets or ideas that could make you sick.

Ok, you are on the right track - exercise. It doesn't have to be a real workout; walking is cheap and easy. And eat right. It sounds so boring and trite - but that's the key. At your age, probably exercise is all you need. And watch what you eat. There are zillions of articles on the Internet of what to eat sensibly! You're on the Internet right now, so get looking!

go out running at least 3 times a week or if you can fast walking is better. cuz it will help you tone a lot. stop eating the fast food a whole lot.
