It may be not so much the belief systems as what people use them for & where they go with them. There are peaceful islamic people & aggressive christians, etc.etc. The religion addresses a need in humans that doesn't have anything to do with goodness but rather with explaining (what & why stuff exists)& legitemizing
(how & why I can act this or that way). Lots of people want this & don't use it as an excuse to blow things up in other countries.
The planet will survive without us no matter what we do.

Uhh...I don't think soo!!! The problem is not of the faith itself, but so many of the morons who screw the world up and give the others who share their faith a bad name. Get some new friends and educate yourself.
Oh, FYI, Yahudism is gonna confuse too many people. "Yahud" is the Arabic term for "Jewish" or "Jew". Adding the "-ism" to the end is pointless.

The planet will survive with or without humans. Organized religion (it doesn't matter which ones) will likely be the cause of our extinction, but the planet will recover.

no I disagree I think this planet would be better off if everybody got along and you need some moral training as humanism and atheism doesn't help much either as they want to do what they please and the word is Judaism not Yahudism..there is no point in living if you don't believe in anything.

It probably would, however humanity needs something to believe in, whether it is a religion, nature etc. And once all the religion is gone, someone will rise and proclaim himself a saviour and the whole thing will start all over again. Even stone age people believed in totems and had their shamans. People need to have respect and believe their is something bigger out there.

people have survived millions of years before them. so we could surviv without them, but the only way they will go away is if they blow up the world first.

the earth will take care of herself. Humans are a mere blip on the geologic time scale. Earth did fine before us, and she will after us.
