When the female attains fertility status, in her teens usually, her ovaries produce eggs every month for potential fertilization by the male sperm. This sets in motion the process of reproduction in which the uterus' lining undergoes increased vascularization to enhance optimal conception. When it does not occur, then all this buildup (through hormonal changes) sloughs off, thus the bleeding. And the process will repeat itself every month throughout the female's reproductive stage in life and it ends with menopause. This process is called menstruation. When the female becomes pregnant this process ceases throughout the duration of her pregnancy. After childbirth menstruation will resume.

Okay,like that one person said, why are you listing this under "Pets"? Secondly, go to your local elementary school. The school nurse will most likely have pamphlets for the 4th/5th grade girls about all of that. Usually the femine product websites have some wierd info on that, too.You seriously don't know, though?Didn't they make you sit through some stupid " your-body-is-changing-here's- what's-going-to happen-soon" presentation? Or did you just completly foget that?

Because Adam and Eve eat the apple :)
Eve had it eaten almost completely you see, so the apple went down trough women's stomach etc...so that's why women have period
On the other hand, Adam had only a bit of it what was rest of it, so that's why men have the throuts the way we have
My grandma used to tell me this, anyway i dont believe it but i admit its a funny story :)
