Go to a doctor and tell her about your fear. She will give you Valium or another anti-anxiety drug to calm you for flight (and perhaps you'll even sleep through it).
Getting drunk isn't the way to do it because that dehydrates you and flying is already dehydrating as it is.

ok first time I flew i became distinctly scared myself. I dont recognize in the adventure that your religous, yet proper because the plane is about to take of I close the window and pray till the plane is contained in the air and stabilized. I easily have had panick assaults besides and that i will allow you to recognize in case you sense better mushy no longer searching outdoors only close your window and picture being someplace else. contained in the plane you cant tell that your flying, and for the most section its very reliable, its compared to being in a automobile and feeling the twists and turns. convey some song to relax you, possibly your favourite hits, or searching on the plane experience you would even get to observe some action pictures which continually helped me. yet only undergo in recommendations possibilities of a few thing happening are so slender theres no reason to rigidity. only get on the plane, and recognize that no longer some thing is going to happen and attempt to keep your self busy. convey a deck of playing cards, or your diary to position in writing in, song, books, magazines, even a computing device. some thing to keep your recommendations off the flight is a good theory. good success, and im confident each little thing will be fantastic!!

I used to be nervous too. Drinking worked for me also. It must have been a phase because I am not nervous about flying at all now. But I still like to get drunk before flying anyway.

Maybe a mild sedative like Ativan would help.
