We got this dog a few days ago. He had just started getting used to us leaving and coming, but he would chase the car to the stop sign. My neighbor has a pitbull and he got a hold of our dog. Bit both his back legs and left a big gash. The dog has been laying in his dog house all day. just barely he got up and he was like choking or something. No vets will take him, but my mom keeps trying. My grandpa came over and said that he'll put the dog out of it's misery. The reason we got the dog was so my cousin's bxer wouldn't get it... obviously that didn't work. I don't know what to do. Please Help Me!!!

Well, it sounds like you let the dog run free. How else could it chase the car??? How would the other dog have gotten it?????
Will the vet not take it because you do not have the money to pay?????
Take the dog to a shelter so it can get treatment or get put to sleep!! It should not have to suffer!!

first of all the dog should not have been allowed to run loose. second, your mom is lying to you, vets don't turn away injured animals, unless you mom has used these vets before and had gipped them out of payment. take the dog to the animal shelter, it deserves better than the lack of care your family is giving it.
and Candice N: no one cares about your stupid pitbull. what is it with you people? someone mentions a pitbull attack and the only thing you can say is "it must have been abused because MY dog wouldn't do that"

You are 13 years old, of course you would`nt know what to do. I`ve never heard of any vet turning away an injured animal. Sounds like your whole family is irresponsible or you`re seeking attention with a fabricated story. Personally, I don`t believe you.

well if your grandpa is going to pull out the ol' shot gun i say dont let him!!!!! but if the dog is in that poor of shape then u cant just let him suffer. give him a few weeks to heal. if he doesnt get any better....the sad truth is youll have to put him down at an animal hospital. srry.

Wrap the dog up and take him to your local animal hospital.
I am very sorry - I hope the dog pulls through - but without medical help, it doesn't look hopeful.

well i have a pitbull and i dont think those ppl treat there dog right cuz my pitbull is a total sweetheart and a big baby shed never hurt anyone

I don't undertsand why a vet wont take him. It doesn't make sense. Try a e-vet.The dog needs to go to a vet.

You should contact the RSPCA, just search on google for there number if you can't find it. if that doesnt work then you should keep trying to go to vets, sorry i don't know anything else.

If your regular vet won't take him, you need to find an 24 hour emergency vet in your area....if you do nothing he will die !
