I tend to sneeze a lot, and some people have told me that I could die or screw up the rhythm of my heart. Same goes with coughing?

Sneezing can cause a vagal reaction and thus affect cardiac rhythm, yes. But you'd have to have a seriously abnormal conduction system - or sneeze vitually continuously - for any significant cardiac irregularity to occur.

So gesundheit! And stop worrying.

It may skip a beat - but no you can't - it is a normal reaction that the body has - coughing too much can damage your lungs and throat - perhaps but nothing else.
