I know of a mexican family that has lived here in the US for over 15 years. The INS showed up at their door at 5 am to deport them. What procedures does the INS do to take them back to Mexico? What happens to their assets, their home, cars etc?

For anyone who thinks it's mean to confiscate their belongings: Other theives have to return the things that they have or even might have obtained illegally. Why should these people be any different? This wouldn't happen to them if they were here legally. They know the chances that they are taking by breaking the law, and I can't cry about them and their problems any more than you would over a drug dealer having his possesions confiscated. Their hard working families are torn apart too, but that's the chance they took. Should we give them amnesty too? Especially since they could have had a legal job if the illegals weren't taking them all and keeping wages low.

I live by the border. They are usually shoved cross the border, often as far away from where they were taken as is practical, often without being allowed time to take any assets with them.

How would you fiends like to be dragged down to the border with no money and dropped off, on our side, at the bridge? Is anyone smart enough to visualize the total emergency that would be involved? How would you get water to drink with no money? How would you get food? Where would you sleep? How would you get home with no money? That is exactly what we are doing to them.

Now, visualize a young woman in this situation. Make it a 20 year old woman who was brought here when she was a baby. Suddenly shoved across the border with no money and nowhere to go.

Do you think that is the American way? Are we such frightened cowards we have to treat people this way? To be totally honest, I think, yes we are such frightened cowards we have to treat people this way. Be sure to go to church on Sunday, and thank God you are so superior to these illegals.

I would like to see proof that their assets, home, car, etc ., are confiscated by the government to pay for the cost of deporting them. I have followed this a long time, and never heard of such a thing.

A prediction for you. They might do some of this, just like the Nazi SS and the Russian secret police. But, when it starts happening a lot, don't be surprised at gunfire. We are not unarmed in this nation.

They are arrested pending deportation.
It is a CRIME to enter the USA illegally.
It is a CRIME to live in the USA if you are here illegally.
It is a CRIME to work any job in the USA if you are here illegally.
Lets all hope those criminals get all the respect US citizens get if we break the law.
They deserve deportation.

The "American Way" is to immigrate LEGALLY, not to disrespect this nation, the laws of this nation, and every citizen of this nation, by breaching our international border with a foreign nation, by entering the US illegally and living here illegally.

As to the comment about "guns", US citizens have the right to bear arms, and we are sick of illegal aliens who think they don't have to obey our laws flooding in here like a swarm of leeching locust.

i assume which will ensue often times. inspite of the incontrovertible fact that, you or i do no longer could desire to agonize approximately that simply by fact 12 million unlawful immigrants should not be deported, that's a certainty. and that i do agree that all of us unlawful with a protracted criminal record could desire to be deported and for each individual else, legalizing them is inevitable and human beings will could desire to get used to that certainty.

They need to present themselves with a judge, they cannot deport summarily unless the family confess being illegal.
