If you're boiling them, about 25 minutes, if you're baking them about an hour.

It depends on how you cook them. Since there are many ways to prepare potatoes there are many different time increments that can be used.

depends if they are cut up or whole. If they are cut, how big are the pieces? If you have them cubed then no more then 20 minutes. You can tell they are done by putting a fork into them, if they break apart, or are easy to stab then they are done.
