Wow, that sounds like a great date, an 8th grader who has a penchant for knives.

He is way too young to be carrying a knife anywhere.
You are way too young to be considering "dating".

*Wink*

I bet you hate to hear that but it's true sweetpea. If I had to answer it would be "NO". Stay away from a boy who has violent tendencies - and wait until you're 16 to even consider dating. Work on yourself and school... if you're supposed to be in 8th grade somehow, somewhere you've lost focus. Focus on school, focus on your friends, sports, dance whatever... but don't focus on boys. You'll have plenty of time for that. I promise.

you are in 6th grade and young...you are going to have a lot of fellas throughout your life. dont start off bad with someone who seems irresponsible and dangerous. stay away, there will be better people for you, take your time.

I think you need to concentrate more on your school work and spelling than on boys. Educate yourself first and think of boys later.

If you think that he has changed or you think that he will be polite to you, I would give it a shot. If he is mean or just wasn't who you thought he was, you don't have to go on anymore dates with him. If you think its right, you should. I mean your the one dating him, right?

only if he proves he has changed. start out with talking to him on the phone and emails go from there. actions speak louder then words.

No, you should not be associated with convicts. Convicts are criminals!
