RUN. Dont walk. Why put yourself around someone you have to walk on eggshells to be around? If a 49 year old man hasnt figured out how to keep his temper under control hes got serious issues. And ask yourself what he blows it over? Is it worth it? or does he blow it over trivial things? If he loses it over stupid stuff do you want to deal with it? He would have to be so cool in every other way for me to want to deal with a 49 year old who uses looks or gestures as a scare tactic to get his own way. Sounds like its more of a control issue you have talked yourself into being a temper. Think about it and be honest with yourself. There are too many fish in the sea. And no matter how much you like him, you wont the first time he blows it and takes it out on you.

age doesn't matter when it comes to a fiery temper. he is not going to change and you should leave him . a bad temper is hard to control especially if really angry. you may be hurt physically at some point . and if you don't do what he wants right there and then as you say then he is a controller too. a controller with a very bad temper and bad out look on women is not good for you or the relationship..

Well, It depends on how long youve been with him. If it hasnt been that long then this could jus be the calm before the storm. Be careful. If you have been together for a while then just try to talk to him and let him know that he scares you when he gives you these looks and shows that side of him. Good luck

This comes from a guy with a bad temper. As he gets to know you better he will use it to control and manipulate you. It will get worse and is likely to be followed by acts of violence. Get out now while you can.

if you truly love him, and that factor overcompensates for his temper, than you should try to work it out with him....or at least talk to him about it. but, if his temper turns into violence, and it frightens you, i dont think you should stick around. be careful, and best of luck.

sounds psychotic to me. if his temper is only limited to an uncomfortable stare, then i guess that is ok, but if it is backed up with throwing things and getting aggressive, then RUN-don't walk-he is a ticking time-bomb.

Run far and fast, you will never change him, and if you keep going you will regret it. It has nothing to do with age, he is a walking domestics violence waiting to happen
