Even though I am not Christian what I like about Jesus the man the historical figure (or the myth of Jesus for those who say he didn't exist) is he brought to the forefront the hypocrisy and intolerance by those in control and made a stand. He taught tolerance, sympathy and compassion. He confronted the priests who discriminated against the poor and unfortunate, and stood up for equality. In that day politics and religion were intertwined so Jesus was a political figure - not just a religious one. Jesus did not go along with the mainstream so he would be a rebel. He was executed for HIS actions.
More of his followers should try and live more like him instead of just preaching about him and acting like those he rebelled against.

I don't get it...about 90% percent of the population of the U.S. believe that bolognie b/c it is trained into their brains as a child so it is near impossible to tell them he doesn't exist...rebels: Defiers of what is passed down after generation and generation: are the only ones that ever change the world, which is in a pretty crappy state at the moment b/c of this religous mess. Why not follow the side that can actually make a difference in the world how it is NOW instead of just pass down medieval traditions and hope for the best afterlife, something in which NO1 knows what happens, and that evidence of the contradictions of the bible support the christian lord is not it...? That makes about 8340985098.87408957349087.8873458904357039845.87534980734590878754390... 74823709237432...89544509 other theories that COULD be and don't have evidence against them.
Rebel 4 life Blitch! Tired of the same jesus stuff gettin passed down from generation to generation and causing mass violence!
The kids know who the real rebels are, even if you don't. In my definition of a rebel that is a good thing to want to be because I think the next change in the world will be for the better and won't follow some book written in the bronze age.

Jesus led a perfect life of peace and healing. He was not rebellious or an instigator.
He is what happens to instigators:
"It has been believed heretofore in the world that there is one devil that presides over the hells; that he was created an angel of light; but having become rebellious he was cast down with his crew into hell. This belief has prevailed because the devil and satan, and also lucifer, are mentioned by name in the Word, and the Word in those places has been understood according to the sense of the letter. But by "devil" and "satan" there hell is meant, "devil" meaning the hell that is behind, where the worst dwell, who are called evil genii; and "satan" the hell that is in front, where the less wicked dwell, who are called evil spirits; and "lucifer" those that belong to Babel, or Babylon, who would extend their dominion even into heaven. That there is no one devil to whom the hells are subject is evident also from this, that all who are in the hells, like all who are in the heavens, are from the human race (see n. 311-317); and that those who have gone there from the beginning of creation to this time amount to myriads of myriads, and every one of them is a devil in accord with his opposition to the Divine while he lived in the world" (Heaven and Hell n. 544).

If by rebellious you mean not being like the Pharisees in ancient days, well, then I guess I am. The thing is, the Pharisees were fake and Jesus knew their heart. For them, it was materialistic, not love.

Depends on what you're being rebellious about. I'm plenty rebellious about some things, but never against God.

Jesus didn't rebel. Jesus clarified the Law and showed the hypocrisy of the Sanhedrin. He showed moderation instead of extremist perspectives.
