The reason they don't want you to brush your teeth is that they don't want the peroxide to bother your gums.
Brushing can cause irritation and when the strips are applied it can cause stinging.
Just wait an hour or so...you may still experience some stinging but if it doesn't give you a problem...don't worry.
If your teeth or gums get too sensitive then stop using the stips immediatly.
Have fun!

The main reason you do not want to apply the strips immediately after brushing is the fluoride in the tooth paste will change the contact angle of any materials applied to the teeth, which can result in the whitening not working correctly. The issue with irritating the gums is also true, that you may experience sensitivity. To decrease this problem, visiting your local dentist for custom bleaching trays would be a good idea. The results you'll obtain from a professional system that a dentist prescribes is much more likely to produce desirable results.

I used the Whitestrips few cases and develop into pleased with the outcomes- no longer particular about the Aquafresh stuff even with the actuality that. you should use Whitestrips two times in preserving with twelve months, even again to again (any more suitable than which may reason your teeth and gums to develop into very smooth.)

this is my hairstylists point of view....strange, but just listen......a lot of times before my clients get their hair colored i ask them not to shampoo because the ammonia and peroxide in the color can create sensitivity on a scalp that has just been abraided by being shampooed. probably if you brush first, you may experience more sensitivity in your gums with the peroxide from the bleach....i'd say brush after, but if you already have, go ahead and try it and take the strip off if you feel any tingling or burning. it never bothered me to brush first....

It can make your gums more sensitive. I still do it sometimes, I just brush very lightly. An hour is good.
