why do muslims taxi drivers charge double time at christmas time when it has nothing to do with them???

mido christian taxi drivers should charge double because christmas time is for them and they sometimes have to work because the taxi firm needs them to work

also i can see how they can charge double on a bank holiday as a bank holiday is for everyone but i can not see how they can on christmas

I agree. When I worked in Saudi I was not allowed to take islamic festival days off as I wasn't a muslim. So how come they can have the best of both worlds in your country? Also I wasnt allowed to attend church on Ash Wednesday or Easter..the 'Religious Police' blocked the road in Riyad so we couldn't get to it!

It doesn't matter that they don't celebrate it...the fact is ALL taxi drivers do that ..the rules are the same for ALL!! you are completely wrong in saying this..
same goes for companies that give out bonuses at Christmas...should a worker not be entitled to a bonus because they are Jehovah Witness and don't celebrate ?? hmmm i would like to know your opinion on this.. cuz this person worked all year just like everyone else...

Laws of economics: supply and demand. Low supply means higher price for demand. Has nothing to do with Christmas, as such.

its cuz they are working extra hours which they normally dont work for you people. and its not just muslims, its every taxi driver. and how do you know whether he/she is muslim, do you just look at their brown face or they have black hair and just think "oh yeah, he is a muslim"

this doesn't reflect on just "muslims" but all taxi drivers of all backgrounds.... they will rip you off and rob you blind given half the chance!
