usually people want to loose weight, but i wanna gain weight. my parents think that i look fine the way i am and that i need to learn to like my body the way it is but i weigh 100 pounds and im 14, freshman in highschool and im 5'5. i want to gain weight because all my friends are bigger than i am and i want to gain at least 5 pounds in a couple of weeks. i am very active, play powder puff, basketball,soccer,and i cant stay still for long. i could use some help on foods n tips on how to gain weight. they wont let me use those pills to help me gain weight either.

Eat and exercise.

You don't need pills to help you bulk up. The pills or shots that do will stuff up your reproductive organs and make them shrivel up.

You need protein to bulk up. Meat is the best source of protein but all vegetables have protein in them too: mushrooms, soy (tofu)

You want to eat as many different coloured vegetables as you can, snack on nuts rather than chips (cos the carbs will make you FAT rather than build muscle), and burn that energy - play play play - use the muscles and they will build!

Keep Eating healthy but up you portions a bit, keep up staying active too because if you dont your metabloism may speed up to deal with the extra food and may make it harder to keep the weight on.

If you want to gain the weight in muscle than to increase the bulk of your mucles creat a exercise regime that consists of 3 major muscles and 3 minor mucsles over 3 day roations. Eg Do 3 pectoral muscle exercises (major muscles) and 2 execises for your bicepts. Thats day 1 do the same thing for 2 and 3 just with different muscles. For the size to increase therefor gaining weight you must do 8-12 reps and 3-6 sets of each exercise at 80-88% of you maximum. When I got into highschool i was about 115 lbs on a 5 foot 9 frame, I did this and I am now in gr.11 with 140 lbs on a 5 foot 11 frame. If you dont understand my advice fully most high schools have a weight room that opens early in the morning (mine does) start going there and ask the supervising Phys-Ed techer for a little help. I recommend this more that eating more as it is technically more healthy to gain more muscle weight that fat weight.

eat, make sure you eat since you are very active. Eat before you go to bed this allows your body to store calories. you are right you are about 5 pounds underweight. You should gain weight if you feel you need it most people dont say oh I want to be fatter so if you think you need to be a healthier weight good for you and anyone that loves you should support you in this decision. There are high calorie protien bars, sneek some of those in between meals! And do some weight training along with your cardio sports!!! Go to the gym!

You can buy Ensure in all different flavors at the supermarket or drug store, they have double calories and fat for people who need to gain weight and my little ones were on it when they were 1yrs old cuz they were premies and they gained weight nicely with the extra calories, that was called pediasure though, you can even get that and the shakes are yummy too. Good Luck!!!!!

Some of them even taste pretty good.

dont do anything. sit on your butt and watch tv or play video games. when you are bored, go into the kitchen and eat whatever tastes good to you (most things that taste good are bad for you).

if you have a fast metabolism, good luck gaining weight cause its gonna be hard

i have the same problem, i always said i'd love for someone to say look at her she's fat. instead of do you think she's anorexic? eat eat eat that's all i can say people always told me not to try cause someday i'd appreciate being thin i'm 51 now and still think i'd look better with about 20 more lbs.

I DONT THINK U SHOULD GAIN WEIGHT..CAUSE AS U GROW U GET TALLER WHICH INTURNS ADD SUM WEIGHT..just continue eating heatly and excersing

eat more junk foods... i can assure you will get fat fast! I am very fat and when i eat burgers (as example) i can easily put up a few pounds on my weights!!
