Unfortunately if you signed a lease you have to pay to get out of the lease, talk to the landlord, but they do have the legal right to make you fullfill your lease, if you have to sublease it, or go fix up your new place and bite the bullet and stay there to complete the lease, this way you have a GREAT place to move into. Good Luck.

There is a rental board that your landlord will report you too. So when you attempt to rent a property elsewhere, and that landlord does a background check, those results will be known to them.
It's also possible that your current landlord will sue you. Pay your bills.....sucks, but that's life!

What are the terms of your Lease?

See what it says about giving notice of early departure, sub-letting etc...

It would be good to talk things over with your landlord. S/he may be able to get a tenant to replace you sooner than later.

Always leave on a good note - you never know when you'll need a reference etc....

depends on your landlord. If I were you landlord, yes. You are better of paying for your last two months and get your deposit back.

More than likely, you will wind up in court with a judgement against you.

It might even get you a lawsuit and having your wages garnished which would really suck.
