i like this one guy at school and i think hes goning to ask me out but i dont know if i wiil say yes because i dont know how to tell my mom please help!!!!! and i dont have a sister so they didnt go through this yet

Are you afraid of what they will say because you are too young? If you are old enough to go on a real date, then just them that you think you are ready and if it makes her feel better, tell the guy to come over your house and meet your mom before you two go out. It would problably put her at ease if he is a nice guy. Good luck!

Well, being mature and asking yourself if you really are ready to date will be a way to prepare yourself...Now, remember when you are telling her this, please take in consideration her feelings and rules...she may think you are too young to date and if she is repectfully say "Okay then, but what age do you think I should." To win her over, say that you are ready to date and you BOTH can set some rules and regulations for your jouney to the road of dating. Like your curfew..how far can you leave the town..stuff like that. I would defintly recommend letting your first date be at restaurant with your mom..it sounds geeky, yes, but it will show her how much you want her imput, but not in a bossy way. Your mom might be reluctant to let you date but if you are respectful and open to what she says..you will defintly win her heart over!

Make sure you do tell her, She should respect you for being honest with her. Tell her how you feel about this guy and let her meet him before you go out. You must understand it is hard for your mom to let you grow up. Considering you are her first girl. In her eyes you will always be her baby. She has to understand the reality though, you will not always be a little girl.
I hope it goes well for the both of you. Have a heart to heart talk with her, and make sure you remind her that she raised a honest, respectful young lady.

try starting by asking her how it was when she first dated and how her first date went, or just be honest with her and tell her that you think that a guy might ask you out & that you would like to go, then ask her how she feels about, maybe ask if she has any tips for you. try thinking of her as a friend insted of your mom.

Just ask ur mother how old she was wen she started dating (chances are she was pretty young) and tell her u wanna follow her example and start datin guys young. Oh and by the way, i think its weird how americans spell mum with an "O".

Just talk to your mom, one on one. It always used to work for me. If you tell her how you feel about this boy, then she'll understand. I mean, she's gone through this too and it really helps to just talk to her about it.
