The monkey may find it offensive. I mean look at all the criminal acts we humans do. As far as I know monkeys don't have the same problems.

Creationists don't accept evolution in general, so it's not that we are related to monkeys, but that we are related to ANYTHING that offends them. But to be more accurate, our closest relatives are the great apes (chimpanzees, gorillas, orangutans, etc) and even then, we didn't evolve FROM them. We share a common ancestor, but diverged around 5-6 million years ago.
Edit: question man, you have no idea what you are talking about. A theory is not a "guess". It is a well supported scientific explanation for some natural phenonoma. A guess would be "I think the moon is made of cheese". A theory would be that "according to the evidence, the moon is NOT made of cheese, and here's why."
Do some actual research. And no, creationist websites don't count.

>:( Whatchoo got against dirt!?
Edit: Fireball, shut up plz. We are animals. We fall under the animal kingdom. There are ony three kingdoms-- plants, animals, and fungi. Humans fall into the animal kingdom, in the primate family with gorillas, apes, monkeys, and chimps. If you just LOOK at a human and a chimp, I think it's fairly clear that we're related. The whole opposable thumbs and 360-degree-rotatable arms and two legs and same shape thing kinda gives it away.
Edit again: *looks down!* Ah, Question Man! You can't go about calling Evolution a "guess" or a "lie" without information to back it up. And no, we won't accept anything from the Bible or a Christian Scientist.
Oh, wait. That's where all your evidence comes from. You've got nothing.

We ARE cousins to the monkey and brothers to Chimpanzees.
Even lemurs (I love lemurs), are our distant relatives.
It is in the fossil record. Even better once gene mapping technology came along it is in the genetic record.
When we die we do break down to a pile of minerals but our living selves are very much animals, in the primate branch of the life tree, sitting on the same limb as apes and the same twig as chimps.

Monkeys are cute!!!!! People are known to be afraid of what they do not understand so it causes them to get all uptight about it. It comes from the thought that we are a special superior being that was chosen by god...Crap like that....lets see research and evidence vs book/bible..........geee i don't know its a tough one...

The theory/guess of evolution is voodoo science that has never been proven.
It is a lie.
And Darwin has made a monkey out of all those who believe it.
