Do NOT refrigerate garlic or it will spout and taste bitter. Store fresh garlic in an open container in a cool, dark place. Unbroken bulbs can be stored up to 8 weeks. Once broken from the bulb, individual cloves will keep 3-10 days.

Keep them in a cool dry place. I keep mine in a paper bag that way the bag will absorb the moisture before the garlic. FYI keep your garlic away from other potent spices. Garlic tends to absorb the flavor of other spices.

Why not basically purchase garlic and chop it your self, it rather is in all likelihood extra cost-effective and could final longer. as for the bottled garlic, what does the label say concerning to the time you have for storage? according to probability what you purchase must be utilized in some days?

I place them on my kitchen window sill. It's a clean, dry place. Or you could peel each individual clove and place it in a sealed jar with olive oil - preserving them.

I keep them in a small jar with a few holes poked through the lid. They don't dry out but keep a month or more. Also, they don't get lost in the cupboard with my other spices.

fresh ones have a shelf life, they need air (that is why you see braided ropes that you can hang up). For longest storage, buy a jar of crushed and keep it in the fridge.

keep in a cool dry place if i see mine geting close to bad..i chop and put them in oil and keep in fridge....
