As many here have already noted, you can do anything as long has you have faith and repent. Kill all you want, but you still have an open door to heaven. What's to stop a christian? They're practically INVITED to hurt others.

I'd not be surprised if there actually were a correlation, as such an upbringing is indeed more likely to produce folk who are f**ed up in their heads, but I am yea to see reliable statistics showing that this factor actually does bring the f** up to the point of causing psychosis.

Quite a few serial killers were bought up in extremely (often irrationally) strict homes. I can't be sure how many of them have a conservative fundamentalist background, though. Has there ever been a study on this?
