Surely more salt makes you more dehydrated?

Soduim will make you more dehaydrated if you do not drink water, tea, or other clear liquids. It also helps our blood flush out toxins. So, if you are planning on using sodium to feel better, have to drink a good amount of fluid also.
Pickle juice is a great cure for a hangover. It has sodium, and the vinegar helps get our PH balance in our stomaches back to normal (this is why some of us puke the next morning).
Pickle juice and a tylenol. Chase it with lots of water or ice tea.
Hope this helps.

This is a common misinterpretation. Bacon does not actually cure a hangover but instead masks the signals sent out by your "Maybury gland" or "Bacon Gland." This gland is responsible for producing headache regulating hormones that taste quite similar to crispy, cured pork rind.

It must be the salt (sodium) in the bacon. With salt you want to drink alot of liquids. Milk and pepsi makes a good hangover drink..

Bacon contains a 'pick me up' ingredient known as Cyphallic Bicarcide, which, when entering the bloodstream causes the brain to release serotonin, which makes us feel better/happier.

Cyphallic Bicarcide is harmless in humans and eventually exits the body in urea. However, in giraffes and other long necked animals it is highly toxic and causes almost instantaneous death. That is why you often hear the old addage 'It's like feeding bacon to a giraffe'.

why would bacon?

protein is always good for you... helps you get back on your feet, but so does peanut butter....

my advice... drink water before you go to bed... gatorade in the morning with 2 aspirin... or hell... try that chaser pill, it does work with some peoples systems...

sorry, never had a bad hangover... and i have gotten to that point, but felt fine in the morning...

;)

Whenever my friends and I are hungover we crave any kind of grease. Bacon definitely has grease. Must be something in our bodies needing it to fight the hangover.
