There are no people in the universe. Consider this, there are an infinite number of stars, planets, etc. Only a few of these worlds are populated, thus if you add all of the populations of these worlds together and divide by the total number of worlds you would get the average population of a world. As stated before there are an infinite number of worlds. Any number divided by infinity is o, or near enough to make no mention of the fiddly bits.
So the population of the world is 0. -see population of the universe. Therefore any people you think you have met are merely figments of an overactive imagination.
