Most theologians would say that the resemblence is in the manner of our personal existence, i.e., that both God and human beings are personal loci of freedom and love.

Yes, I am made in God's image, though I need a bit of polishing to see it clearly. I think it manifests in the fruits of the spirit. That is the working of the Lord in our lives.

we may be made in GOD'S image but the resemblance may not refer to the physical but rather the spiritual. there has never been any clear cut evidence as far as I know to indicate it was the physical. personally feel we are made in GOD'S spiritual image.

I agree with Jewish Girl and Marvin R. God's image can't refer to physical appearance, because if God had a body, that would be a limitation, and all monotheists know God is limitless.

We are alive. Our flesh is just goop and junk. What makes us alive is our spirit that is eternal.

the clue here for the word image is God made us into what he wanted.
We have been returning the favor ever since and making him in our image or into what we want.
