Sports is the most effective way. Once you get into it, you'll start getting thinner. Once you get thinner, you'll notice it's a lot easier to play and get better.

First of all the doctor told you should weigh 135 - 140 and you are 5'8........

that might be a bit thin... well the 135 anyways. i' d go down to 140 max otherwise you will start to look to thin for your height....

anways, get to gym honey cause 199 may be a bit much especially since you are quite young....

get to the gym and start working on cardio, which you should get active in school activities while you can.... light weights will tone you up...remember the more muscle you have the toner and faster you will lose fat in that area.....

it will take atleast 3 months... it takes a while, but slower is better it lasts longer that way..... don't try any stupid diets... and get a new doctor...

i'm 5'8 and i weigh 150 (i also have 3 kids) but the point is... people my age same height always weigh less then me,..... which i fine funny. but I wear a size 5-6 in clothes and a friend of mine who is the same height weighs 140 and wears a size 9... so don't worry about the scale too much, as long as your fat % is low and you stay healthy you'll be fine...

I am about the same height. 5'9 and i used to weight the same. It takesa different amount of time for everyone but i would give 5 or 6 months

Just diet and exercise. You can eat whatever you want as long as you only eat 1 serving. Portion control is key. Go for a walk or a run everyday. If you like the game ddr get that and play that everyday for an hour. On the higher levels. Also don't forget to let yourself have some junk food every once in a while. Maybe once a week. No more soda either. The diet soda has chemicals in it that make you crave sugar.

Good Luck!

You're probably not going to like this answer but the best way to lose weight is gradually. Try exercising everyday and gradually increase what you do. Also, eat a healthy, balanced diet and don't buy into all these fad diets. Sometimes, people need to eat more to lose weight/be healthy ie. skipping breakfast can be harmful to your health, harm your metabolism and therefore make you gain weight. Also, the old stuff of eating five portions of fruit and veg a day, drinking plenty of water, cutting out alcohol, tea and coffee, getting enough sleep and trying not to eat late into the evening.

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

Eat 5-6 SMALL meals a day, make sure your calorie intake doesnt exceed like 1200 calories. You need to excersice like walking (for 1 hour) jogging (30-45min) at least 4 times a week. you need to keep your pulse above 130 but below 160 to burn fat. Do not eat 3 hours before you go to bed!!! that is most important and just watch what you eat. Dont pig out on carbs such as breads, candy, sugar all day you can still have them but limit them! eat lots of stuff high in fiber like fruits and veggies!!! I could go on and on give it 6 months on the safe side and you have to be loyal to your routine routine is key

Strength training, cardio and a healthy eating plan. The strength training program will tone you all over. The cardio will help you lose the weight. But you wont lose weight if your not eating right. It all goes together. You should consider hiring a personal trainer to get you started on the proper programs just for you.

You need a healthy diet and exercise. Lay off the junk food and get off your backside and not watch TV. Keep up on your homework and get involved in sports in school. You are 15 you can get into high school sports. When you turn 18 join a branch of the military. It is nice to see 15 year olds asking for advice, many years ago when I was your age I knew everything.

3 months on the Protien Power plan!!! Yep thats it low carb and cardio. Don't be fooled by people that say do situps. You wont loose yer gut by doing sit ups. You need to do cardio. That and dont cheat. Yep I said 3 months... thats what worked for me 60 lbs in threee months. They say it cant be done but thats the government who recommends low fat low cal diets which simply dont work. The protien will build muscle and get you toned. Muscle also helps you loose weight.

You will need to do something to get your heart rate up for 20 minutes or more. Your body starts to burn fat after 20 minutes. Walking fast will take a bunch of weight off!
Foods are just as important as the exercise, limit these foods to once or twice a week only: cheeses, sodas, chips, fried foods, fast foods. Instead choose fruits, yogurts, veggies, low fat EVERYTHING, low sugar EVERYTHING! Try to eat more chicken and fish than beef. Drink plenty of water.
