ok i am not completely nuts, but have you ever thought about a word long enough and realised how ridicoulous it was?

I thought about the word 'finish' the other day and it was bizzare.

Ya me 2 it loses it meaning completly!!! once i was thinking of a word in class i think it was "baby" and it suddenly became funni so i burst out laughing.....everyone was laughing at me....sob sob!!

Yes, I've had exactly the same thing before. You forget how to spell it sometimes aswell, even a simple word. The last time I had this was with the word 'the'!

I always do that with People Names. The more I think of a name the more funny it gets. And I'm like why would you call someone that.

i have done that, and wen u realise that its such a simple word that uv known all your life but never really taken a second to wonder why it is that word..?

Just words that already sound funny. Like flying buttress.

I think most words can come to that point, except onomatopoeic words like buzz, murmur and zap (words that sound like what they describe).

sometimes i look at words Ive spelled like friend and maybe and think, that just does NOT look right. and i spell check it, and still feel that way.....i totally know what you mean.

It loses its meaning.
This can be used in many other ways for example:
To lose your worst fear: accept it, do not deny it but give yourself to it. Then fear loses its strenght. You´re free.
