Not at all. I love when my dog sleeps with me. He gets excited whenever I tell him it is OK to jump up. Then he proceeds to take the most comfortable part of the bed, but I adjust around him.

Generally speaking, it is not "bad" to sleep with your dog.
I am assuming you are in your bed, and the dog joins you on its own or by invitation.
IF the dog gets under the covers with you, THEN there is a potential for some 'problems'.
Dogs were not really designed to be under the covers and some of the critters that normally reside on their skin really go thrive in a dark warm environment and this may eventually cause skin 'problems' on the dog.
Also, those same critters just might like your skin too, and come over and visit.
Most times, the dog will opt to sleep on top of the covers you are under.
Regular, normal, washing of the bed covers, blankets, etc. will take care of any critters that fall off of the dog.

My dog sleeps on my bed and we have very few problems now that we are getting used to the idea. And I do assume it will be for a lifetime. She's my buddy.

its not if thats what u want to do and u r sleeping alone. my dog used to sleep with me, but remember once u start it is probably for a lifetime

No my dogs sleep with me and my husband.. They sleep right next to us.. I share my pillow with my dog and my husbands dogs sleeps by his side... good thing we have small dogs..

well no until you get a mate (for yourself) then you might not want the dog on the bed but then it will be a habit you will have to break.

my dog goes to bed 1st so i guess i am sleeping with him! its okay to sleep with your dog!!

as long as all you are doing is sleeping it is fine. If anything else is going on i don't want to know.
