I had a friends-with-benefits, we called things off two months ago because I started to get 'too close' in his words. But he says he is interested in cyber-sex with me. Could it be that the actual physical stuff might have made HIM get too close to ME as well? or just that he still wants to have sex with me?

Well to me this man doesnt want to be in a relationship (you were getting to close) its suppose to be friends with benefits only. He might have felt like you were starting to have feeling for him sometimes that happens even if its suppose to be a sexual thing. If it was a mutual agreement and you both called thing off months ago cyber sex isnt physical so its not really having sex. Some men/women can have sex and no attachment thats what he wanted but that wasnt what you were giving in return so it had to end. Find another friend or maybe someone you can spend time with for more reasons than just sex.

This sounds like a relationship that's REALLY not good for you. He's only using you sweetheart.. the "friends with benifits" is pretty much only using the other person, and it will start to get to you after a while.. most guys that do the "friends with benifits" thing realize what they're doing and don't want to hurt the girl in the long run. By wanting cyber sex, he wants the action without the physical attachment.. I wouldn't do it. Find someone who actually wants you and your body and your self because of the fact that they love you and want to make love... not simply f***

Perhaps he feels your getting or looking to get closer than he is willing. Cyber-sex would provide some "relief" without the need for true intimacy. He may simply not be ready for a more intimate relationship.

Sounds like he wanted a non emotional sexual commitment. Sex was probably nice, but he feared getting too close for one reason or the other

Cybersex is masturbation. Plain and simple.

He wants to masterbate with someone to talk to.

Move on.
