Anything IVORY, Ivory soap, ivory dish soap, ivory body wash is a natrual flea and tick killer that is what I use and it works very well, also AVON skin so soft they hate it! spary your dog once a week (mix it with water) and fleas dont want to be on your dog. Also a flea comb can comb them out but I suggest killing them first. People can not get fleas they can just get bit by them. Also to get rid of the fleas on the dog you have to clean your whole house, carpet, furniture cloths what ever the dog has touched or been on or played with. Eggs can live for months.

I currently work for the SPCA. Flea sprays can be toxic to animals because they lick themselves and it should be taken off the shelves if you ask me. Flea sprays, collars, and bathes do not work. I highly reccomend putting your little one on a flea preventative called Advantage. You apply it once a month and you can get it through your veterinarian. If money is an issue, I suggest going to the SPCA because we are low income. We charge $11 for a single dose of Advantage but the prices can very depending on the hospital. Also, bombing your house is a great way to get rid of fleas. When you vaccume your carpets, throw away the bag because the eggs and fleas can still survive, so throw the bag away outside. Also, fleas can cause severe anemia and tape worms just to give you a heads up. Oh and no flea sprays shouldnt go on humans, I would contact your doctor on that one, maybe your doctor would know. But I hope this helps and I am happy to know there are people out there that care enough to prevent fleas. Good luck!

In an emergency I've used apple cider vinegar as a rinse on my dog after shampooing him. It worked temporarily until I could get to the vet to purchase drops.

You can also feed the dog small bits of garlic every day. It won't start working for a few days, but the fleas jump right off. Guess they don't like the garlic taste or smell, lol.

Also, wash the dog's bedding in hot soapy water and spray the entire bedding area with white vinegar or mop the floor where he sleeps with the white vinegar. The vinegar smell dissipates quickly.

you need to purchase a spray that contains methoprene and permethrin (for the house). you should also bathe your dog with a good quality flea shampoo and then put a flea collar on him. No easy way to get rid of fleas - treat the animal - treat your house - get something to prevent the dog from becoming re-infested.

I'm sorry. I don't understand. You don't have time to go to the store? What do you eat and wear? And if you do not have time to go to the store to buy flea stuff, how in hell are you going to have the time to MAKE flea spray?

Zodiac flea spray... if your family is that busy that you can't afford the time to take care of him/her, you shouldn't have a pet!

You better take time off to get to a place where you can get the things that you apply to the back of their neck once a month. If you don't do something you will have them in your house. They get into your carpet and furniture too.
