I want to know if they use basic, assembler, what language is it?

you have to distinguish here.

a game consists of two different kinds of code. one is the game engine, or the game itself, if you will. there are far lesser engines than games today, because modern game engines are highly customizable so that you wouldnt recocgnize that two completely different games actually use the same engine.
these engines are usually programmed in c/c++, but also in c# nowadays.

the second layer of code is the actual game, the part you see, that is programmed by a game designer, which is more of an artist than a programmer, using the possibilities that the engine provides.

this usually happens in some kind of script language, sometimes a specially designed one, sometimes a common one, depending on how complex the engine is.

all i know is that for the sims 2 they went around their office and had staff go nuts...
