Whenever I think about it, it seems kind of rediculous. He's a seinor in high school who skipped a grade, and I'm a freshman. He's also my best friend's older brother. I've liked him for about half a year (much of which over the summer when I didn't see him), but I don't hang out with him or even talk to him all that much. Whenever I /do/ see him, I blush and get really happy. I've thought about telling him I like him and asking him out before, but I get so scared at the thought of being rejected that by the time I think I could go over and say it, I'm frozen on the spot and I can't move. He's not completely oblivious, though. He smiled and waved at me once.
I really, really like him. What should I do?

I've asked my best friend if it's okay that I like his brother, and he said it was.

well its not ridiculous at ALL. My friend is a freshman and she is going out with a senior that DIDN'T skip a grade...lots of ppl i know go out with juniors, too. there's no reason he couldn't like you. The way i see it: he's going to college next year. So you 1. have to work fast b/c you only have 1 year, and 2. who cares if you make a fool out of yourself? he's GOING AWAY.

How well do you know him? If you get to be good friends with him, or you talk a lot, than go for it. But try to be more than his little bro's friend. You should tell him, if he says yes, good for you, if he says no, then you'll be free and get over it and grow from the experience.

try to get to know him first....once you get to know him better, you'll be able to predict what your chances of being rejected/accepted will be like.

i'm a freshman too...but be aware, at my school you have to be majorly hot+popular to even THINK of having a senior as a bf!

good luck with that though.
