Ok so what you need is a hydrogen peroxide developer cream. You might want to get a 40 volume level as this will be strong & should work faster. This can be bought at hair salons that sell products, hair care stores & places like walmart. You will find this item near the hair dye section but it wont be well advertized so you have to look carefully. If you cant find it next to hair dyes, then look for where they keep products like soft & beautiful & luster's pink oil [love that thing].

So when you get the developing creme mix according to directions with the powder given to you. Mix in a glass bowl with a brush. Do not let the stuff touch your hands ok.

Now, its recommended that you have someone to help you out.

After you are done mixing, apply to hair that's tangle free. If your hair is unwashed thats fine, as the naturally occuring oils will protect your scalp. If you have a lot of product in your hair, you might want to wash your hair a few days before & hold off the product.

so apply evenly over the entire hair shaft. Try not to get a lot on your scalp as it can BURN you. For real, it burns.

Once you have saturated your hair with the bleach, you could wrap your entire head or sections which ever you prefer, with aluminum foil, to aid acivation & to preven dripping. Check after 15 mins to ensure that the bleach will not "over do" your hair.

Note, the more vibrant & true the colour you want the longer you have to leave the bleach in. Its ok if your head feels slighlty warm to the touch as long as it does not burn or is hurting you. If it is burning or hurting you please wash it off immediately. I think youre supposed to check for allergic reactions before too. oops. Yeah, that allergic spot test is good to do.

So you should see an orangish-whiteish colour before washing off the dye. Wash gently with a gentle shampoo.

Let hair dry thoroughly before applying the colour.

Remember that bleaching & dying puts your hair through a traumatic experience. Please take really good care of your hair for the next few weeks as improper care can cause breakage, split ends & drying out. Condition reglarly & keep hair moisturized.

Yes bleach is a powder but you should have gotten a cream developer with it, If not, do not use it. If this is your first itme bleaching your hair I would be very careful. Bleach can burn your skin if applied incorrectly. Bleach goes thru stages Black, Brown, Red, Orange, Yellow and Pale Yellow. It is very hard to achieve these stages if you do not know what you are doing. Also bleach is heat activated, so the areas of your head that are the warmest will lighten faster and could result in the wrong color. If you want a red tone, I would suggest buying a bright red hair color with a 40 volume developer it is safer and easier to correct if the color is not what you are looking for. If you are determined to bleachyour hair buy a kit and read the directions that are in the bleaching kit or go to your stylist to make sure not mistakes are made. Either way you decide go, good luck.

Yes the bleach is a powder, and you'll need a 40 volume developer mix them until you get a thick paste, remember bleach is almost like relaxing you hair, so try no to to put it too close to you scalp. More hair bleach don't require heat just keep a close watch on your hair, so it doesn't get too light, and I wouldn't recommend a hot oil treat meant right after you bleach, I'd say wait a week, and one shampoo.

Take it from me you'll want to go see your hair stylist on that one. My hair is dark blonde and i wanted to bleach it to a brighter blonde and it turned orange. It's well worth the money to have it done right the first time. Good luck!

What store did you get it from? and is this your first time bleaching your own hair? If this is your first time, i would not recommend it. Bleach is very dangerous to work with if you have not done it before.

Afr. Amer. hair is very sensitive and breaks very very easily and gets easily damaged from chemicals- bleaching the hair is something that only a professional should do and worth any extra money that you spend to get it done -
