Ask this girl out.. I mean, i am a very shy person and all and confronting her would just be too unrealistic for me. Are there any other options?

Don't just ask her and freak her out. tell her something interesting about yourself and say "I can tell you more about over lunch."
If she says yes, there you go. If she says "Is it a date?" say "If you want it to."

Oh, for crying out loud. "Confronting" her?! You're asking her out, not squaring up for a fight!
What's the worst that can happen?
Whether she says yes or no she will be really flattered to be asked.
You'd need to speak to her during a date, so summoning up one sentence now shouldn't be too hard. If you can't make the effort to do this it's a bit of an insult to her, frankly.

Just close your eyes and tell her in her ear. That's what I did, and I'm 13! How old are you? I don't think there is any other options. Unless you ask a friend to tell her for you. It's up to you. Hope my advice was helpful, and let me know how everything went:

Dude....... I'm shy to, but i just found her alone at her locker one day, and the words just sort of tumbled out of my mouth............she said yes!
