I think it's interesting to take a break from the rhetoric and read ACTUAL statistical facts. There was a lot on the list that I wasn't aware of. Thanks for posting.

I think its appalling and it pisses me off. especially when people here truly need help and can't get. and there's never enough money for social service that are need. Why should they leave if they get everything. that's why they don't want to go because they would have it harder in their country of origin. Just think of what people in need in this country would have available to them if this money wasn't being spent on Illegals. I mean when Is the raising of taxes going to stop. People here cant afford to live because our taxes are getting out of control. In Ohio we are the 3rd most taxed state in the Nation-Thanks to Taft. and we have 2 of the poorest cities. Gosh you think that it might be related. How much more can we afford. We have got to do something to stop it.

Who ever blamed it on the Dems
Its not a Clinton issue how long do you think this has been going on 10 years only. a NO a lot longer Its a National Problem. no one has really tried to fix it. and Bush and this congress have been in for 6 years already what have they done about it, Nothing.
Until we elect officials that want to change it nothing will change.

I think it sucks and i did read it all.I think the government should step up and do what they are paid to do> i think i for one is so tired of paying for those who don't belong here to be here. i was born here and barely make it. i get upset when i see those who were not borne here with expensive toys and food stamps. i get mad when i see job require US citizens learn Spanish! I wonder how much it cost US companies to print instructions to there products in Spanish and English, There by having to raise the price of there products! I think this government has no back bone and i think all they want is a seat in the white house congress or Senate to pad there own lives! I think I'm sick to death of This open door policy we seem to have taken too.I think I'm tired of hearing Spanish every time i walk into a wal mart! I think i miss old America i had as i kid

I think it is beyond time to remove ALL illegal aliens, regardless of nationality, from the U.S. Those wanting to become citizens can apply to re-enter legally. For those who complain that it takes too long: "anything worth having is worth waiting for."

We need to secure our borders on all sides, beef up INS, make speak English a requirement of citizenship, just as Mexico makes speaking Spanish a requirement of citizenship.

We need to do like many, many South American countries and allow permanent residency only if that individual can prove they have "x" amount in a bank account *and* a monthly income of "x" amount and not allow them to take jobs from locals.

As far as your statistics are concerned, I'm not in the least surprised. I would think the decent people are still at home waiting for their LEGAL paperwork to be processed. Those who will enter illegally, work illegally, commit crimes, etc. are not exactly the cream of the crop and we don't need them. We grow enough weeds in our own crops as it is.

I think that not many people will give you credit for a good post with accurate information.
People are too untuned to what's happening next door until it's their turn to receive a mexican ghetto and now here at least it's getting our turn, and we don;t like it.
What you say is not far from happening here, and it's aslo itme for us to do something about it.
There are beganing signs everywhere advertizing in spainish, mexicans are soon to be the majority in some counties unless the illegals are sent back. The churches(small one with preachers who have ambitions to be larger) are a huge problem in illegal immigrants. Many preachers use them to futher their own ambitions. They og to mexico to offer aid in comming hereand encourage it.

Great statistics, scary as hell but very interesting.I live in Scottsdale AZ .We don't have a lot of crime due to private guards etc but it has increased so much in the last 5 years its causing home owners associations to hire more security,so our dues go up every 6 months..And at our ranch, which is 30 miles from town, 24 hour guards are an everyday thing. Thanks for the facts I appreciate them very much

Illegals can and do receive food stamps and welfare all they need are false or forged documents its done every day,it you that don't know the facts.

Wanda same old pity me BS grow up its 2006 Stop beating a dead horse think now today not yesterday,

That makes me so sick!!!!! America is literally turning into mexico. I live in a city that you would least expect to have any illegals or just plain mexicans in and it is full of them. everywhere you go you get whistled at, stared at. I have had many friends that were turned down for jobs just because they didn't speak spanish. It's disgusting.......

deltadiva needs to get HER facts right. She has no f-ing idea what she is talking about. Ignore her!

Starting salary for a US border patrol employee, in the $20,000.00 range. Times 5 is 100, 000 dollars. Statistics on illegals are very hard to come by...they are illegal...we don't know who they are!!!! We know A) many/ even most...work B) They survive by living with legal residents who pay taxes, own houses, etc. Their children are often citizens/legal residents...if born here...they assist their relatives in paying household expenses including property taxes and school taxes...they pay sales taxes...This is a pluralistic society. Language is no indication of legality. Eastern European Jewry spoke Yiddish. Russians and Ukrainians speak Russian. Chinese speak Chinese. Koreans, Korean. So what!!!! California has many immigrants, legal and not. It is a border state, first port of entry from Asia. License status alone does not indicate legality. California is a car-centric state. No car. You're stuck. Especially rural, CA, the Valleys, and Southern California.A birth certificate is required for GA benefits and SSI benefits. Mothers with dependent children might be assisted because most of us don't want to let children starve. Whatever your bone to pick is with life in America...stop scapegoating the poor, the weak, those who speak with an accent, with a different shade of skin. It 's not becoming. Stand up for others. Selfishness is not a virtue.

A lot of your information is incorrect, your so-called facts about the Department of Health and Human Services, there is no way an illegal alien can receive food stamps and etc. Due to that this makes me think about all the rest of your information!

Well I need proof, I don't believe it one bit! Most people that use to much information usually have a soucre a website! Just seems a bit outlandish!

Clearly you are asking those that can read to give an opinion on the facts you are providing. I get it, ignore those that are oblivious for some reason.

I think these facts your presented are my reasons I will vote for those individuals that are against amnesty for illegal aliens, secure our borders and listen to the American voice. I know I will vote NO on all propositions that are beneficial to illegal aliens too.

I will see some of you at the polls..

A lot of these expenses are more the fault of our policies than of the aliens themselves.
An illegal who commits murder is obviously at fault for murder, but he is not responsible for the money that we choose to spend on supporting him in incarceration: if we chose to deport these murderers, then we would save money.

However, the prison industry is booming right now, and no politician would be wise to support a criminal-deportation policy if the prison industry is a big contributor to their campaigns!
