Invest some of it. Maybe talk to your bank about a CD account or something that is insured and will make you a little interest. You can draw off the interest and keep the rest in the account for later if you need some spare change.
Also if you don't own the place you live then you can start to save up for that. Even with 100% financing you will still need to pay closing cost.
Pay on your car as long as it doesn't use up ALL the money. And paying the car insurance for a year is a GREAT idea! What a relief that feels like..
Get yourself a nice manicure/pedicure. Enjoy, Enjoy !
If you don't already have some, buy yourself a new set of plush bath towels ( on sale of course). You'll enjoy that luxury feeling on a daily basis for awhile.
But just remember....If you go on a big spending spree, you'll have fun at first but then you will have spent the money and maybe not have anything to show for it AND you'll be right back where you were before you got that money...
Good Luck !

I would go to the dentist and have my wisdom teeth pulled. I keep having to put that off, not only because it's going to be a stressful situation, but because I don't have the funds. Also I think I would finally get a tattoo. Maybe get my windows on my car tinted. I want a new bed frame, maybe get one of those. Go on vacation. Definatley. There is a Harry Potter confrence in New Orleans in May of next year that I would love to go to but, alas, I'm affraid that I'm not going to be able to afford the plane tickets. I dont have enough time off to drive. Yep, that is what Id do. Go on a vacation.

The best thing that you can do with extra money is pay off or pay down debt. Wait to buy things that you want when you have saved enough money to pay cash. I bought whatever I wanted when I was young and I have been in debt all of my life. I made other people rich off of my interest paid when I could have been making myself wealthier. I am just about out of debt.

You could invest the money... that way... you know.
Well, I don't know. I mean, if you actually do have 9 grand, then it's really up to you on what you spend it on. If you like books- spend it on a few books you've wanted to read. Um- send some to your grandparents, if still alive... give some to your parents.
Use it on important things- if you're paying apartment rent, use it on that! Don't ever use NINE GRAND rashly.

Well, what -I- would do is donate some to church, pay for my medications, give some to my ex for the kids, put new tires on the car, buy a new pc and go to college.

Pay off my credit card bill. Not imaginative but would allow me to freely buy the hot tub I want and go to Jamaica in the spring.

I would pay off debts first and then I would invest what I had left or put it in a US savings bond.

I would try not to think I have it, I would put it in the bank and use it as a security tool, and the best feeling, is knowing that you have the money, just because you have it doesn't necessary mean you have to spend it.
