Alright, I have this guy who shows signs of liking me, and so on, but homecoming is October 7th, this saturday and I see him on monday. My plan is to ask him out or ask him why he didn't ask me out because he's said that he doesn't want to go to homecoming, but only because he went with the same horrible girl on/off three years in a row. So I'm going to ask him why he didn't ask me out instead of her and tell him ther reason I say such stupid things around him is because I like him. So how are guys with girls asking them out last second? I really like him, but should I bear it all out so late?

Ask him out, BUT don't ask him WHY he didn't ask you. That's none of your business. You don't own him yet, and are not entitled to his reasons. That's a bit pushy dear.
But you should, by all means, tell him you'd like to take him to homecoming. This means, that the expense is yours to bear!
I suppose that you can word the invitation in some other way so that it comes out to be a "dutch treat", like, "if you're going and have no plans, I'd very much like to accompany you. . .Oh, I'll be glad to pay my share. . ."
But don't make the BIG assumption that he couldn't have a date, for any reason.
So just ask him, and be prepared to
1. pay for the date, or
2. get blown off.

It is just fine if a girl asked a man out. It is not in the old days, girls can do the asking just as much as a man can. So go for it. Some men like it when a girl ask or makes the first step.

Just make it clean and simple. Tell him that you want to go to homecoming but that you really don't want to go by yourself and you were wondering if he would be interested in going with you? Simple as that. Don't get into long explanations or examinations of his past dating behavior. Unless you've said something really insulting or degrading to him, you needn't explain about your saying stupid thing around him. If you have said something insulting, apologize. Then ask him about going with you to home coming.
And don't let fear get in your way. Too many people close down their dating opportunities because of fear. The only way to get dates is to run the risk of being turned down. That is how it is.
