To all the doctors out there: I'm always cold. During the summer, I worked where there was air conditioning, so I didn't think much of it, but now that it's Fall season, I'm always cold! Others around are fine. Acutally, I've been cold even before the summer, but again, I didn't think much of it. I dress appropriately for the weather and sleep with 2 comforters and another blanket. I try to drink tea to warm me up, but that's only solves the problem temporarily. I don't want to go to the doctor for this 'condition'... any suggestions to what might be wrong? THANK YOU!!!

If you don't want to go to the doctor you really don't care about what's going on. You could be cold for a lot of different reasons, most of which can only be diagnosed by a doctor and blood work.
You could be too thin, could be anemic, could be diabetic, poor circulation etc.
Try taking vitamins with extra ferrous sulfate (iron) which is lost during menstruation. If that doesn't help you're going to have to see a doctor.

You know what, it's funny. When it's incredibly cold out, all my friends ask, "How the heck can you wear that!!!" I tell them I'm not cold at all because I guess it's just who I am. When it's incredibly hot out, I try not to think about the weather too much and wear whatever. So basically, I'm never always cold or always hot. I'm neutral about it. It's like I don't feel anything, it's just weather.

Usually if someone is always cold it means they have low iron in their blood. You could ask your doc to do some blood work and find this out or what you could do is go to the drug store and get some iron pills and try those. Be forewarned though, iron is very binding, meaning it's constipating. Good luck

Anemia has nothing to do with feeling cold.
Although you may be totally normal the most common reason when something is uncovered tends to be hypothyroidism. People who have an underactive thyroid also tend to be tired all the time, and will start to put weight on. Not an emergency but tt your doctor at your next scheduled appt.

It could be a problem with your circulation; or you could be anemic. Just go see a dr and tell him what the problem is and whats going on. If it is either of those without treatment it could lead to some serious problems.

gain some weight, wear sweaters, bake potatoes and turkeys, turn up the heat. Maybe make a nice fire in the fireplace. Throw as much wood on there as you want.
