Macromedia is not a free software. You can get the trial version and use that for a few days.

Front Page isn't free either unless it came with your original Office software (it doesn't always). Probably your cheapest bet while still staying legal is to join Yahoo Small Business. It costs about $9.00 a month and you can quit at any time. When you sign up you get access to their website maker which is a lot like Front Page. You can save your pages to your HDD once your code is created or you can use FTP software to upload your new pages to your site.
This may sound a little extreme but it is relatively cheap.
Like others said, Macromedia is expensive - I know as I own it all. I love Dreamweaver and I dabble in Flash MX for personal sites and FreeHand for Vector images. It is all very nice although making a good flash website is all but impossible for n00bs unless you have access to tutorials and lots of time.

Someone else gave you the link to adobe. You get a 3 week trial - but it's not easy to use. NVU is freeware and you can download that to do a website. If anyone offers you a gmail account - take it - you get 100 Mb of webspace with it. easy to do a site - but not very good one - very basic. Tripod will offer space with their advertising. i use the advertising supplied free by my ISP - take a look at what I packed in to my tiny 15 MB and still a little space left! lol Look around and click the adverts. you can also look at the code. Click view and then source in Internet explorer - I did that on a site the other day to get the code to put an MP3 playing in the background on the homepage. Download those MP3s they're free. I use FrontPage - it's fast for updating - I constantly change my site. My email address is on the site - if you want info like where to get cheap space.

Someone may design a site for you ,it may be the best option, single front pages look naff ,and depending on your business, that's if you run one, your need hyperlink and maybe ranking on Goggle,MSN, and Yahoo. That costs money.
