Let's call it what it is. this wall is a political move to keep all the racist people at ease and get their votes. If USA want it to stop illegal immigration they would send all those soldiers to help INS and patrol and close all those businesses that hires illegals, believe me as soon as all the employers know that they can lose their business by hiring illegals they will stop and there will be nothing for illegals to risk their lives coming to the US. their own family would not feed them, cloth them, house them for long and they themselves would send them back to Mexico. PEOPLE STOP AND OPEN YOUR EYES.

First off, you should realize (if you read you would or if you lived in a border state you would), that the working illegals are in the minority..therefore they do not present the same urgency as do the illegals that come here to leech off our system, or the illegals who were criminals in their own country and came/come here to spread the wealth, this is what is happening hand over fist...not poor misused illegals by big bad American business.....or did you miss their protest? They marched claiming with all of them on protesting work would not get done....well work got done, nothing shut down, the only way I even knew there was a protest was by watching the news. And you know why that is? Because those where people without jobs, protesting on their time and your tax dollars....

Yes you are right about the need for cracking down on employers who hire illegals. That's where the majority of the problem stems. No jobs = no more illegals. LIke this country is a f-ing job fair or something.

However, your statement about 'racist pigs' is not a very educated statement. Wanting to protect our borders from every top, dick, and harry from entering this country is racist to you? That sad argument is used by the unthinking person. You need to be more educated on the subject of illegal immigrants and what is truly is and will do to this country. It is NOT pretty. Read "State of Emergency" and see if you think it still is considered racism. IT WILL OPEN YOUR EYES!!!

Actually in your own strange way I too agree .you are correct in both of your assessments.The wall is a political move to placate the voter and try to use the failed shock and awe tactic.But people need something,they need a symbol,like the wall and lip service promises that lets them believe that our government does listen.And you are correct in what you say about the employers,they must be stopped to facilitate the end of the desire for the illegal to come to America.That's always been where our action should have been centered .take away the bait and the fish don't bite.
We already have very good excising laws that if enforced will put and end to the companies ,we simply need to demand they be enforced with zero tolerance.
You are absolutely correct,thank you very much.
Wanda stop believing fairy tails.I have traveled all over the world,I speak Spanish,English and Cajun French.
You say the same thing in almost every post,perhaps you need to broaden your horizons yourself to think about and really listen to others .you may find you are not worldly at all.
I don't see racism in this post,if you read it with out thinking that,then its a good post.Its not because people are racists that they want the fence or the borders secured,it because they truly believe the borders should be secure.
I don't know any people in my life that are as race obsessed as people,on both sides,are on here.it just never comes up in my circle of friends.

What i believe your right in some aspects, but it doesn't make any sense to do that, first u seal the border, than clean the inside. you work your way in. And i agree with wut ur saying, and I don't think its racist, I just think that economics and other things pplay into this. beacuse these illegal immigrants come to our schools, thats not a problem. But then we don't have enough moeny to get books and all at school! but then someone like u will say why not the government spend more money and give books but it doesn't bring in eneough moeny through taxes, and why not beacuse the incomes that these immigarnts make they don't pay any tax. THey don't pay any tax and get th fruits of education. But its all okay, but I think that the fence will help out in the debate. U have to agre coming here illegally is illegal and it must be stopped. But then to prove ur point, all those taht are here we'll send them back right? companies shouldn't hire, company hires bcause they are here, once they aren't they won't hire. Its a catch 22!

You have stated a good arguement. only differ with the racist thing. If it was racist the legals would have the same problems of illegals. many legals are doing very well, with greater education, good incomes, and children are going on to college.{no not all, but are living well.}

700 miles is probably far longer than they have ever traveled anywhere, anyway.
So like horses, their blindfolds only let them see a small porting of what the world,and life is really all about. Sad way to live!

The fence is neccessary and can be a deteraint to illegal crossings. I however agree wiht you. We need to go afte rthe people who make profits on them. This includes politicians,businesses, farmers, preachers, welfare workers on all levels, and judges.

I do not know the answer just yet.. I do know that illegal immigration will destroy the U.S. as it has in cities all along the border and in Los Angeles that has already been lost to the Mexicans

Agreed, though I don't like the tone of your question. It detracts from a worthy argument.

A 700 mile fence is a tiny band-aid when a 2000 mile stretch of fence, plus patrols, plus high-tech surveillance, plus a public admission of RESOLVE and actual enforcement WITHOUT APOLOGY of our immigration laws.
