i understand how many beers one 40 oz equals out to. If you ever have had a st ides you would know what im talking about. It is more intense than the alchohol content shown. How many actual regular Budweiser beers does one 40 oz of St Ides equal out to? Take into factor the amount of beer, amount of alchohol content. This question is directed toward someone that actually found information on this.

I'm not looking for mathmatical equations. I can get drunk off of one 40 of St Ides, but not off of 4.5 beers.

First of all, the equations are wrong. Bud is 5%, not 6%. That makes for 5.3 Buds equal to a 40 of St Ides. The reason you probably think it's more intense is that you drink it faster. You have the whole bottle in front of you, and you drink it all at once. St Ides is nasty enough cold, and when it gets warm - hello puke. Better drink that s**t quick. How long does it take to drink 5.3 cold Buds compared with one 40 of St Ides? More alcohol in your blood stream over a shorter period of time means you get more drunk. That's all there is to it.

Well, actually no. In the US, a label which reports the volume of contents contained is not what is actually inside. It is actually the minimum amount inside. You may be lucky and have a 41oz beer, but factories are pretty accurate these days. It's likely 40.1oz.

4.5

using 40 oz * 8% alcohol = number * 12 oz * 6 % alcohol

number = 4.5
